  • @elchirris100 umm, what?

  • Way to go Dave. We were illegally foreclosed on purpose to track how the illegal activity happens from a~z we fought the banks on their bogus assignments & forged documents to no avail and worked tirelessly gathering all the evidence but thanks to Neil Garfield who's insight helped me fully understand the entire process from SPV's,Yield Spread Premiums,Derivatives & how judges pensions are based on foreclosures :) We stayed happy, made the best of difficult times & moved on~ Starting OVER again

  • Well done...going to your site right now.

  • that is one of coolist stes ive seen

  • Great Stuff

  • We build Geo thermal houses everywhere.

Just going down 12 ft, gives you enough FREE heat to keep your

house at 55 F year round

If you build houses the way we do.

Then when we add Solar, the house is off the grid

    year round.

  • Being an Ypsilanti Citizen I am proud of this; but, Mayor Paul Schreiber is a plague to the city. The video would have been more effective by not highlighting him.

  • nice video thanks! love Ypsi!

  • Fantastic!

  • The big unions ruined MI! And the worst thing is most of the people believe what the unions tell them while their cities crumble..

  • i live in ypsilanti and the ypsilanti food co-op is literally three blocks away from my house. i was so proud to see this commercial. i had no idea they were doing this. i love that there's people in my community fighting to find alternative sources of energy and help our planet out a little. :)

  • fantastic job, saw this same video on Monday night Football. This needs to be funded. I want to help. I'm retired, but maybe can give something.

  • I only clicked on this "Featured Video" because I thought the guy on the video thumbnail looked like Red Green. Disappointment.

  • My community college is 100% solar powered now. They got money!

  • looks like angry granpa

  • Cool work! nice job! love this. Would love to see it in person...maybe one day I shall! will be sharing this locally in Indianapolis. Thank you for sharing!!! God bless you and keep you!

  • Is that the white guy that gave that niggah a beat down in seattle? on the bus

  • how much is one panel

  • @repententertainment1 They're around $500 range now, prices have fallen greatly.

  • @volumedealer1

In Denver, Colorado, you can find 250 watt panels for around $350. This is the highest power (along the standard efficiency panel gamut) for the cheapest price I've seen since entering the solar market 2 years ago. Pretty awesome.

  • ROBIN WILLIA- oh wait that isn't him..

  • Wow, I live really close to Ypsilanti, and I didn't even realize that this was happening. That is pretty darn awesome. It's always nice to see a something hopeful coming out of Michigan. Many of my fellow Michiganders seem stuck in a rut; entirely opposed to, even fearful of, any change. Seeing something like this so close to home really brightens up my day.

  • Oh yeah, Oh yeah!!! Go, Go Go Ypsi!! LOVE IT!!! We have to move in this direction. So cool!

  • @Thiiz you read my mind, haha xD

  • check this out 3rd coast X)

  • He said couldn't use solar panels they cost thousands of dollars but the millionaire apears to be lying because his house roof is pack with several thousand dollars of panels was this guy on pills when he was making the vid or what

  • @gogles2012 you did not listen he said he could not afford the software out there that monitored the solar power from solar panels...listen a little.

  • Solar Intellect

  • Didn't the oil companies receive grants and subsidies for the research and development of their products from the government? Do you know the story of Ford, Rockefeller, and Goodyear? With Goggle behind this now, solar can have a story just like Fords. I don’t believe Goggle has any ties to oil and/or coal like our politicians and government does.

  • <3 google

  • Why should solar or any other energy source recieve grants from government? If it is profitable and sensible, the free market would do it.

  • all of those solar panels are made by coal power and pollute more heavy metals into the ground water than lead batteries. Go NUCLEAR OR GO HOME

  • Good going Dave! Nice looking project.

  • put hangin wit the wierdos thefrancine5 its hilirous

  • thumbs up if you clicked because you thought it was the Amberlamps guy

  • Yeah... free money from government. Too bad Detroit and the Unions produced such cruddy cars over the last 30 years... maybe they would still be in business!!

Nothing is free !! The wasted government money over the last 3 decades should have focused on "Quality Control"... so you guys might still have a job. Glad you are trying to help... but invent something new!! Be more self sufficient rather than taking money. Steve Jobs did it... why cant you?

  • @TechPirateDougo Yes but Steve Jobs is dead....why can't you do it.

  • Great for solar power. BAD FOR THE METERS THEY WANT TO USE. SMART METERS MUST BE BANNED!!!!!

  • Maybe you could trickle water through the solar panel and drive for producing hydrogen right at the panel its self. Now hydrogen could be stored and used in a cell to produce energy. Just a thought

  • An acre of the best solar panels can produce between 17,000 to 18,000 BTU per hour at peak time of the day. A single gallon of gasoline can produce 125,000 BTU per hour day or night. Trickle charge technology.

  • @Pasovineyard a single gallon of gasoline also burns 1 gallon of gasoline, an hour of solar power affects nothing.

  • Scroogle needs one of these hahaha

  • Search: For The Windows In Paradise, For The Fatherless in Ypilanti

  • STFU 2011 and youre finally installing solar panels? where is this retarded country actually going! wake up!

  • Such enterprise could be funded just as WPA programs in the depression--putting people to work and producing energy while also helping our environment.

This is far and away better to military arms, destruction of infrastructure in countries that don't pose a threat to us. We are allowing the war mongers to destroy our country and our reputation for truth and justice.

Go solar! Down with the banisters and military industrialists. ENDTHE FED dot COM

  • ANGRY GRANDPA

  • Hey, is that (0:18) the 67 year old Nam Vet that beat up the black guy on the Oakland Bus?!?! He really got his act together after that incident!

  • why does the web site not work?

  • Nice guy. This is the spirit we should all have to learn and grow into the future:)

  • This is something I have always believed in. I can't understand with this power at our fingertips how did not put it to work. Their should be solar panels all over the country.

  • @risingsunmusic1 Not only that, but every vehicle in the united states should be burning Natural Gas, Vegetable Oil, or Ethanol. There really is something corrupt about our government and something wrong with the way people in our government think. If everybody had an ambition to put up solar panels the demand would create the supply and it would be affordable. It takes a forward thinker to understand the impact of fossil fuels on the planet. Oh well, maybe next life time.

  • thumbs up if you clicked on this video because you thought the thumbnail looks like robin williams

  • I know that man! we live in the same town. :3

  • Is that Epic Beard Man on the roof with the solar panels?

Two things that scare black people, solar power and Epic Beard Man.

  • @YTRulesFromNM I'm black and fear neither of them. I debunked your claim.

  • detroit lions 4-0 right now

  • I know that guy! and i live in ypsi! this is so awesome :D

  • Cool story bro.

  • iloveypsi. and the ypsi food co-op. yay!

  • /watch?v=1UllEZhfyN8

  • theres a lot of negatives being said about detroit. for some positive news type in 3 unlikely words (utube) johnny knoxville detroit.

  • I'm having trouble accessing your site right now. "Directory Listing Denied"

  • and Google did something unique here.. how?

  • @serbwithblade they shared the story with you. :) Regular media did not.

  • I really want to know who would ever dislike a video like this.

  • @imzownagepker oil companies...

  • Why not more grants for solar?

    two words - oil companies

  • @MudDauper And do you know why the government is subsidizing the oil companies? So when they stop making so much money from gasoline when the price drops their profits won't drop at all. The oil companies have been subsidized for ever and been given tax right off's for ever screwing everyone else. Solar cells and panels have been around longer than I've been a live and I'm a Viet nam vet. The gov should put so much money into solar as oil.

  • @MudDauper With about a couple hundred million or so dollars the US could set up a 10 square mile solar panel plant in the Mojave (land which is almost entirely uninhabited) that could eventually power the US, of course it would be a while before we could fully switch because we would need to build up reserve power etc. But, of course, then politicians wouldn't get their million dollar campaign donations from big oil. Same reason marijuana's still illegal.

  • @MudDauper solar takes a lot longer to pay itself off, which does not benefit the current politicians in place. They aren't willing to spend all the money now which they will never see returned during their time in office.

  • @MudDauper /watch?v=CNMJOhl79XM Check it, dumb ass.

  • @MudDauper Too true

  • @MudDauper

Oil companies may have a small part to play in why solar isn't getting many grants. Mainly though, you can even check the website in the video, they aren't producing enough power to be profitable, any money they have mad has came from the grant they were given, not from putting electricity back into the power grid.

Solar and wind power just are not efficient enough to be profitable.

  • @MrWastedfate I don't buy the argument that wind power is not profitable. In the town where iI grew up they put up about 100 wind turbines. The people of the town don't have to pay any property taxes anymore (Invenergy pays all property tax in the town). Each farmer gets 6,000 to 10,000 dollars a year for having the turbine on there property. No tax money went to the project and they have been making money for years now. Google high Sheldon wind farm if interested, just trying to inform.

  • @MrWastedfate

In my College thermodynamics class, we found old Coal plants have just 8% efficiency (I am NOT kidding). Nuclear was just 20%. If you look at ALL subsidy's for those, you'll 'get' how Big Energy can afford to purchase Inhofe and Hutchison.

G.W. Bush gave oil companies $8 BILLION in tax breaks in 2005 to "find oil" - Yup, the GOP said record profits were not ENOUGH incentive to find oil without taxpayer help.

Solar: Buy it ONCE, use it nearly forever - not so with Oil nor Nuke.

  • @CI9TK

That efficiency might be descriptive of old coal power plants, but today, we get about 30% of the potential energy of coal in the form of electricity. That's a lot better than 8%. But I agree with you fully about your comparison between solar and nuke/oil.

  • @CI9TK

If your definition of nearly forever is 20-25 years, then yes. It will last nearly forever. They, like everything else also require routine maintenance.

Your figure for coal power plants is also very vague. Are you saying steam input to electrical output efficiency? Because for both nuclear and coal, that is about 33% efficiency, not 8 and 20. And as far as total electrical output.

On top of that, less than 1% of our energy currently comes from solar power, and only 2% from wind.

  • @MrWastedfate Oh, I don't know WHAT you are doing WASTING your time on YouTube when there are so many UNSOLVED crimes you could solve...

Steam is Steam (and - News flash: Electrons are Electrons) so your CLAIM that they are BOTH 33% efficient means you're comparing the SAME turbine electric generation vendor equipment in a different plant. WE did fuel input to energy output. YOU F'TARD!

Satellites are Solar powered - Zero maintenance.

Let's hear MORE "statistics" from your crowded butthole,..

  • @CI9TK

In that case, the current average for fuel input to energy output for nuclear reactors is 57.6%. You probably left nuclear reprocessing out of your calculations completely.

Panels in space suffer much more degradation than panels on earth, and have to be replaced almost once per decade. The United States actually generates more electricity from burning wood than they do solar power.

  • @MrWastedfate Now even the Muppets know you're a liar. When calculating efficiency, the total can never exceed the worst efficiency in the system.

The crooked never include Nuclear fuel PRODUCTION when talking about energy. Mining, milling, refining and prep is COSTLY and ENERGY intensive.

Nuclear fuel is a net loss. Why make it?

    Cost? Taxpayer pays.

Energy used to make? Countries using it for electricity want bombs.

Reprocessing warheads save but spent fuel? Not really.

    The Sun IS free.

  • @MudDauper how about one word. Solyndra

  • @MudDauper

Solar really isn't much of a direct competitor with oil, unless you live in Hawaii or some other place where coal is too far away to be shipped economically. I would guess the reason there aren't more grants for solar (and actually, there are quite a few incentives both federally and state wide, depending on which state) is because power plants and utilities don't want to lose consumers. Solar distributed energy reduces the profits of people wanting to consolidate power, literally.

  • Why not more grants for solar?

    two word - oil companies

  • It's Angry Grandpa!!

  • HoIey Macaroni Batman, this is a week oId and ViraI ! ! !

  • its awesome to see people take a situation like theirs and turn it around on its head. this is great to hear about! :)

  • omg this guy looks exactly like the guy who kicked that fail gangsta's ass on that bus :O

  • Very Inspiring!

  • its hickok45 with a beard

  • Way cool

  • Right on Dave! Answers, not complaining...you STEPPED UP TO BAT...and kicked it right outta the filed homie!!! Much appreciation for folks who r changing our planet for good.

  • I'm getting them when I get a house.

  • I want solar panels on my house!

  • 5 Oil Company CEOs watched this video.

  • @Sethermieseter or 5 tea partiers

  • Everyone should make this there opening video on their channel!

  • I am so glad that Solyndra is being investigated, its very clear that Obama gave Solyndra "OUR" tax money to wash money for his re-election efforts. A true scum bag. No one is above the law! NOBAMA 2012

  • ...Until a tornado comes along and rips that solar array right off the roof. God hates people who live in trailer parks and Michigan.

  • Im here for Santa Claus.

  • Good idea, the software, real-time meter checks.

    Keep going!

  • I wanna have some scientist create the most powerful solar powered battery and put it into a car the front battery will run then the back will charge from solar panels on top of car

  • who else thinks the old guy looks like TheAngryGrandpa?

  • angry grandpa?

  • @DeltaCookies007 Damnit Delta!!! you beat me to the punch. I came on here solely to make an Angry Grandpa joke.

  • @Lionel4482 hahaha

  • Great video!

  • Call the amberlamps

  • This is a very nice story and I applaud the fellow who spearheaded it. I do think the unions, overall, have done a disservice to Detroit however.

  • Like I said before, fuck Detroit, fuck solar and fuck every goddamned DemocRAT that has destroyed places like Detroit and who are trying to destroy America. Fuck you Union Rats and DemocRATs.

  • Comment removed

  • lol helping detroit get solar energy is like spraying febreeze into a sewer system and screaming DAMN RIGHT IM HELPING.

  • Great video , just imagine how many homes and families would have gotten help if instead of giving a half a billion to solyndra we had converted 5000 homes and freed 5000 families from the electric bill

  • You can argue and you can blow a fuse, but this man is chasing a dream and this is true American entrepreneurship. You can beat him down but this guy is determined.

Plus, he's not making a solar powered community, he's making a solar power research lab, it's just made out of the people of Ypsilanti.

Keep chasing your dreams and never faulter!

  • There is too much political spin on solar panels! ....Where is the objectivity and truth? Seems to many of us there is a definite positive future for this technology to come about but, at what cost? Can anyone tell me about the latest 1/2 a billion dollar default with this "promising" new solar power factory which has become a embarrassing situation for the President.. The real truth is short supply these days! .

  • Its not just a fantasy. Those things really work. As prices fall more people will get interested. Having lights on being able to use your appliances if you loose grid power for whatever reason is comforting insurance. Just about anyone can build their own off grid solar electric system with a few thousand dollars. If you don't like buying your electrical service from a coal company, this is how you protest.

  • how well does it work in the dark? how long does it take to recoup the costs. Do you have to make structural changes to your roof to support the weight of a heavy snow plus the panels? How many elect appliance can you really run with solar panels? Course you could add a wind generator. Then start over with the questions. Ya can't just "put it up and turn it on" I would like free energy too but me thinks thou doth protest too much!

  • @jhldsc See my channel. I built my own system that does just that.

  • @pgm98387 You are far from having a grasp of the reality of the situation...So continue to live in your world of grand illusion...I do not own stock in any coal burning generator..Your knowledge and awareness of the facts is lacking! Remove all coal burning electrical generation in this country tomorrow..be prepared to answer to over 40% of the electric customers in this country who would be out of power...Why are you so willing to ignore the facts? Solar is still an EMERGING technology.

  • @lclaughton He never said anything about removing all coal burning electrical generation... He simply proposed that solar is a great alternative. Don't be so quick to judge brother.

  • Omg Thank LORD

Someone is Finnaly helping us detroit Ppl!

  • Angry grandpa?

  • great start. this tech will be just one more tool in American ingenuity and utilize energy right here at home.

  • Men like this guy are what American Freedom is all about. The government created the housing bubble by mandating banks to make sub prime loans. They also regulated manufacturers into submission and outsourcing. The people of the US are AMAZING at coming up with cool things and working on new projects. It's the fear of being sued, or fined, or shut down that limits creativity like this. I don't care if it was a grant- he'd had the cash in a good market to go bigger.

  • @briansmobile1 The housing bubble was also created by "flipping houses"..

Finacial bubble = increased costs inflated by service fees, not product demand.

  • @1DigitalFlow Good call that is also correct- you're a smart man.

  • i think dave here might have the biggest penis in the universe

  • Solar does not work, night,clouds,ect...

  • Im an Environmental Studies major in Hawaii and your story inspires me....

Im glad to see other parts of the world investing and using Alternative energy resources.

It gives me hope that one day the world will have a conscious collection that we have only one earth and that everyone has to do their part to help maintain and preserve it for future generations to use and enjoy...

  • @kamakazi11 Your an Environmental Studies Major...and your youtube username is Kamakazi11? Wow, thats creative.

  • @dbucks1099 It's 'You're'.............Nuff said.

  • @MrMaryJanes Its "enough said"..........Nuff said.
