Kalabagh alone can produce 20000 MW which is 25% more than the requirement of Pakistan. ANP and Sindh Nationalist well known for their elders having very very good relations with India have been opposing Kalabagh dam.

If this Dam was build in 1960 as World Bank was giving loan at very less Interest rate after Sindh-Tas water accord with india we were going to use less than 25% of Kalabagh capacity at that time & remaining we could have sell to other countries...

Brother, you seriously need to look at Pakistan's energy profile to understand that Kalabagh is necessary even with all the energy projects in the works/to come. Zardari failed big time and is now even copying the plans set out by Musharraf with the exception of Kalabagh - why?

Thar coal is a great resource which should be exploited as well but it's not going to meet all of Pakistan's needs in the foreseeable future as it's going to take quite some time to fully develop.

K-Dam isn't a waste of money. You know it's odd that Zardari is overseeing all the projects initiated/agreed upon during Musharraf's time with the exception of this dam and one has to question why.

A lot of studies were done on the feasibility of this project and our engineers aren't so stupid to just say yes to something that wouldn't work.

The type of shit that oppose Thar oppose Kalabah - for those mongrels its politics. Both resources must be exploited at all costs.
