I'm thinking of getting reasons 4.0 with protools, but I don't know what kind of protools to get. I'm thinking of getting the mbox 2 pro factory bundle or the m audio. What u think bro??????
No disrespect..this dude takes too long to explain himself and he's mentioning unneccessary stuff. It doesn't take two videos to explain this, to be honest, I've done this a few ways and I find importing the individual reason tracks. It's quicker than rewire because you have to rewire every track.
Well, I solo each track in reason and save each track as a solo and import the tracks in pro tools. Both methods are a hassle in my opinion, but rather not have twice as many tracks than I need. And I don't the fastest computer so for now I like to limit the recording interruptions. That's why they made Logic I guess, lol.
@kmg0330 just make a template that is already set up in protools for rewiring so you dont have to keep doing it every time you have a new project. You probably already know that but if not I hope that helps.
Now open up two mono audio tracks ok now all you have to do is change the output to bus 1 for the kick and bus 2 for the snare then set the input on the audio track to match the sound coming as a wave file. hit record
whats good man this is how i track out of reason into protools i open up let say 2 instrument tracks a kick and a snare ok. Then we want to rewire so select reason on the instrument track then the rewire will pop up so now you want to pull up the reason file with the kick and snare. Hit tab wire the input from the redrum to the like in this video.
im done with the beat and its tracked out. but now i wanna do the vocals but theres no recordable voices left. how do i group my track or combine them or something to free more recordable tracks..im stuck can some one help me im new to protools...
Bounce the track and start a new project. Dont delete the project with all the files just in case you need to make some adjustments. File -> Bounce to disk
I love watchin your videos over 3rd time already... I finally got my shit workin it sucks cuz my pc is a p42.8ghz with 2gb or ram... :( but i figured out a way to do shit 3-4 sounds at a time.. THANKS TO YOU!!! god bless man for real!!
he showed you how to track dry... i wanna track my echoes too this is what im doing right now.. for every sound you wanna track wet use a spider audio.
shut the fuck up homie, if you cant do the shit, and he teachin you, then shut the fuck up! Aint like you would have go anywhere without this, dumbass!
How can I track my drum pattern into pro tools?. I can see it and here on the instrument track in pro tools, and tried busing into a audio track to record, but it won't come into the audio track.
Ok. I own Vista home premium, but I only use Pro tools 8 m-powered with windows xp, since I read on the digidesign site that PT8 only supports the ultimate and businness. But this is good news then. Thank you for the great tutorial. Thre reason program I had years back had no option to save audio within the program it self. I like the PT effects better too. The new plugins in version 8 are amazing.
do you need an external sound card for protools le?

Its much faster to bounce to wave files from Reason to a file on your desktop and then import them into Pro Tools.
kewl44 6 months ago
@kewl44 right. just do all your editing work in Reason so when you copy and paste the beat in any DAW for vocals you on ya way.

Propellerhead should really think about implementing a multi-export function for Reason, seriously. I don't know why they haven't done that.

thank you! Especially on the advice of tracking out drums separately.
