@EddieAlda Sure, so that the Little River Band could be nothing more than "The Glenn Shorrock Show!" Every Band should have a second lead, just in case the lead singer gets TOO FULL OF HIMSELF!!!
@zodiolestes What about Wayne Nelson and John "The Voice" Farnham? Since they joined in the 80s and Farnham replaced Shorrock (Nelson had joined in 1980), maybe you don't count them. If you count those two, LRB had four different lead singers (three at one time from 1980-83).
@cparkes92 Wayne Nelson& John Farnham were nice to have around. And they joined right at the moment Glenn Shorrock was being "phased out". However, they were not "Original" members of LRB. By hiring SO MANY lead singers "after" LRB Glory Days were over, the record company opened the doors to IMPOSTERS using the name with NO ORIGINAL MEMBERS of The Little River Band touring the world...
As good as the Little River Band was in their other line ups, this is THE LRB for me.
I saw them play in this line up for a few years, probably from one of their first gigs till they were huge. Roger and Rick were huge talents and like all the others in this lineup, it was the style and personality in their playing that made this band what it is.
This song is from the second album "After Hours", in Australia. The U.S. version was eventually released afterwards on "Diamantina Cocktail". So, the song is actually on both. Ric Formosa on guitar!
sadly the after hours tracks that are on the overseas diamantina cocktail are either rerecordings or remixes with overdubs by the new bass and lead guitarists...in short they are an embarrasment in comparison..
e.g days on the road is 34 seconds shorter...no bass intro.. take me home is over 1 minute shorter...and their are new lead vocals on most tracks...
you can reconstruct the australian d.c. from the overseas d.c. and after hours, but you can't reconstruct after hours
Awesome song, I especially love the middle bit around 1:39-1:56 where Beeb n Glen sing with higher pitched voices and the synthesizer kicks in, that sounds brilliant, very 1976!!!
Someone else filling in on drums in this clip??

I have all their hits on cassette but I don't currently have a cassette player. Time to purchase a greatest hits CD, I guess.

I don't like Beeb Birtles voice. Glenn Shorrock should only be on vocals.

Still one of my favourite songs, from one of my favourite bands. Pity Derek and Rick couldnt have played with BSG.recently.
Rick Formosa must be one of the most unrecognized creative lead guitarists in Australia.
His lead duet with Beeb in this is great.
Love Glenn`s T-shirt, too.

LRB can musically outpace and crank out harmonies more exacting than that of CSN&Y - any flippin' day of the week!!
period, paragraph.

yup a great track - Beeb is a great singer and songwriter. Should've made it higher on the charts, but they are fickle things the charts
