definitely lucky he didnt hurt someone,,but really not ready for this plane,he probably bent the crank then changed the prop and bent the gear back ,like a dummy then no one ever tries to fly on a soft surface ,some folks have more money than skills, maybe a simulator might help, but it dosent teach common sense
maybe try carbon fiber hahahaha if my shit snapped like that the first time and the plane was salvagable i would upgrade that landing gear like a mo fo
go back to your trainer and practice your landings or get some cast iron landing gear lol no that would be to heavy but get some better landing gear instead.
What can you say get someone to help with landings and approaches, like my driving after 15 years fairly sloppy. Nose down landing interesting, try elevator keeps the nose out the ground and why so fast, does it stall at 25 mph or something......
Very much so, it has new carbon fiber landing gear. The only thing left to be done is some patching to the cowling. Their are going to be some excellent new videos coming this year for it, I have one already an idea thought up for one.
hey man all you need to perfect is flaring the landind a little more . it looks like you have enoguh room to come in with a little speed so just keen the finger on the elevators and flare it dont wat till it is too low and then you can get comfortable landing slower. trust me i've been flying for like a year now an di have the 35% sd yak and i fly from a MUCH MUCH smaller airfield
I am ordering me a Yak 54, I just love this plane, mine will be here next week, I am ordering today, my wife is going to shoot me. Does everyone get the Yak 54 as a ARF? With the quality and prices of ARF's why would anyone build anymore, don't get me wrong I love to build but with time so short now days, save time purchasing ARF. Plus I can't build a plane for what a ARF costs. Is this just me or is others seeing this also?
Dude -- It's a great plane. I fly the blue one. Have you tried to fly way-slow a few mistakes high? Try it at 200 ft as slow as you can until it tip-stalls...
I was just giving you a hard time lol and yes accidents do happen when flying...alot. I would love to have some my crashes on video, they are usually hilarious.

No, crap landings like that do not happen to the best of us. They happen to guys who should still be flying a trainer.

I liked the shoulder mount for radio, I have a very bad neck and can't support weight of radio on my neck, I would like to have one of those.

I suggest using and perfecting a sport plane, such as a Hanger 9 Pulse.

Dude you suck!!!
beautiful plane, horrible pilot!
didn't you ever had flying lessons??
use your head, that plane flies lots better when the CG is a little to the back, and it would slow down faster, but react with the throttle!!
calmatosport 4 years ago
Not really. He's had some bad landings yes. But he just needs to learn to slow down a lot more, thats the main problem...
