  • There is certainly nothing amateur about this performance. It is superb, clean and musical. Performers can make cuts -- arrangers certainly do. Bravo for bringing our the work of a lesser-known master, too -- Martucci.

  • Thanks. I don't understand the almost total neglect of Martucci - his music seems consistently well-written. This fantasia is all the more creditable when you consider that he was only 17 or 18 when he wrote it.

  • You skipped some parts ;) .. Is this possible .. Like the ending!

But great moments! Bravo .. And a extra Bravo for the fact you're not a professional, but did so well.

  • My memory of this performance is a feeling I missed out a few bars shortly before the D major section - this was a small memory issue. The ending is a bit truncated because I used to feel that the page in Db major didn't fit in well with its surroundings. I'm planning on recording it sometime, uncut with proper audio quality sound.

  • the most professional amateur on you tube. erudtion and technique worn lightly. a real music lover. superb.

  • your works are the examples how a youtube video should look and sound right. You are a great artist, someone to look up to. Can't believe you are an "amateur" though... :)

  • Thanks! I am honestly an amateur - I've not attended a conservatoire nor studied music at university. I've had some advice from a good professional teacher, however.
