Not their first single!! What about ' last film' which spent 19 weeks in the charts? Jo sang on this, She then went on to do a world tour with Tears for Fears and a national tour with The Communards. Don't pretend to be a fan!!
@montontony this was before Mr Blunt, Watching their eyes & then The Last Film (4th single) - 14 weeks on the charts peaking at no. 19 and staying there for 3 (or was it 4) weeks
Thanks Bramptonian! I heard this song on college radio (UMASS) back in 81 and I found it very haunting. I still have it (with some other great post-punk) on a cheap cassette tape I made off the radio late one night in 81, which makes it sound all the more haunting and nostalgic. The DJ called the group "kissing IN the pink", which I suppose was incorrect. I've had trouble finding this song, or any info on it, over the years. I'm surprised the song isn't, apparently, more widely known and liked.
I have it on the Cabaret Futura compilation on vinyl, but still no sign of it on CD anywhere.
