  • @mathem001 , if u attach copper tubing to the exhaust and aim the steam deeper in the water you will get more power and lose less

  • ok this makes me want to make a minature hydroplane....

  • Gee, that's a lot of hissing and sputtering for not much forward motion. 8-)

  • A while ago there was something about a full size boat using a steam driven eductor-jet pump- [Design has a patent on it].

Your boat doesn't seem to condensing very much of the steam, so it's generates only a little momentum from the low density steam despite steam 's hight speed. If you can expand the steam down to a point where all steam gets condensed underwater, you should get much better thrust. ie convert more of the steam's internal energy to KE

    Also lookup propulsive efficiency

  • see funny

  • @thekewlbeast I baught one 2 hours ago! Will arrive in 5 days!

  • experimental?

Kids used to play with these in the 1800s.

  • Go Putt Putt/Pop pop! I bought a titanic pop pop boat yesterday off ebay :D

  • Heheheh--you'd be better off blowing on a turbine and driving a prop if you have a real boiler on there. Those putt-putt steam boats actually pump water through them. Lots of bang for a little tiny buck.

  • thats cool
