Anyone who likes Robert Cray might be interested in checking out great bluesman Joe Louis Walker, who shared a label with RC (Hightone) for a brief time in the mid-1980s. Their styles are different but equally hip, both are blues legends today. Always love it when RC plays with the Memphis Horns. I loved playing Robert's tunes in my old blues band, and his guitar style was a big influence on me. Loved his bassist Richard Cousins, too.
Good to know someone my age has good taste. Check out Robben Ford, Popa Chubby, and Anna Popovic. Good music is still around, but it's (unfortunately) really hard to find.
I gotta see this guy live. I used to listen to him back in high school. I lost all my CD's and I'd kind of forgotten how much I enjoyed this stuff. Kind of odd considering it had inspired me to buy a guitar 20 years ago.
remember seeing robert cray in an old boxing stadium in dublin back in 1990 at the peak of his career. asked for a loan of 12 irish pounds to see him, great gig he rocked that night
I became a Robert Cray fan back in 1988. I think he's one of the greatest guitarists/singers of all time. Even though there's no video, I can't complain-it's still so great to hear him sing! THANKS!!
I know, he is just amazing and has many great songs. I own a couple of cds and haven't been let down yet. Thank you for the comment and also I really like your vids too. ^_^
Thanks for posting these! I had the privilege of attending several of his performances and he's just awesome!!!

nice thing about this when being drunk: it's two songs so you can listen to it over and over again without getting bored. I'm loving it.
