  • This is some of the most imaginative and "philosophical" Beethoven playing I have ever heard! You can smell the Diabelli-variations and the late string quartets in every single bar! Thank you for your upload of this wonderful performance!

  • @dexterityhunter You are most welcome! I am a big fan of Beethoven's style of variations. He was a master of writing them and wrote plenty of sets of variations! And Perahia does full musical justice to the entire sonata! I eagerly await the day when he completes the complete sonatas cycle...
