@Tienkou111 It's part of breaking down recruits so they can rebuild them into Marines. Most American youth go through 18 years of being straight up babied and always getting their way. Bootcamp is there to take away their individuality, break down the individuals, and make them emerge as a team. Eventually recruits learn ways to "beat" the drill instructors. They begin to work together and that is the entire purpose of bootcamp.

There is just so many ways to train young soldiers. You really need to consider cultural backgrounds when you do that. If you don't, you just can't have a operating unit.

I got yelled at by DI's this weekend i went as a guest to the delayed entry programs weekend boot camp that they had to prepare them for paris island. And they had senior drill instructors from paris island come up. And i gotta tell you it is not fun to be yelled at it wasnt as bad as i thought i wasnt scared some kids but what got me is that when they single you out they completely make you look like an idiot.
I'm LMAO from behind the safety of my computer, but I have no doubt I'd be pissing myself if I was the recruit getting that ass chewing. 38 seconds on Youtube, but it probably seems like a frickin' lifetime when you're in that guy's shoes!

I got yelled at by DI's this weekend i went as a guest to the delayed entry programs weekend boot camp that they had to prepare them for paris island. And they had senior drill instructors from paris island come up. And i gotta tell you it is not fun to be yelled at it wasnt as bad as i thought i wasnt scared some kids but what got me is that when they single you out they completely make you look like an idiot.

This is hilarious as long as it's not you. Never gets old. The DI's obviously set him up because you can see the one at the end walking towards the camera to shut it off. Funniest part was the recruit yelling aye aye sir at no one in particular, hoping that if he yelled loud enough they would just leave him alone!
