@funnystarchild no, methane is the strong greenhouse gas, we are not going to release methane into the atmosphere we are going to convert it into water and CO2 to give us energy then release them which are not strong greenhouse gases, i dont approve to this massively though, fusion is better, hydrogen is far more abundant..

yeah but methane is a MUCH more powerful grenhouse gas. so by turning it to CO2 one could argue that there is a net global cooling effect over a larger timescale. Pus methane burns much cleaner than other fossil fuels.

Gas hydrates (as it says in the video) release loads of CO2 into the atmosphere, in fact one water molecule holds hundreds of methane molecules, which produceseven more CO2 when burned, what kind of shit dothey want to get into this time!?

Methane is a potent greenhouse gas when released into the atmosphere, but actually when burned the amount of CO2 released is half that of when coal is burned. This is why countries around the world are looking to methane hydrate as a way to reduce carbon emissions.
