Thats one hell of a good, classy but modern at the same time, fast, luxurious, great to look at car...what more to ask for. This car is great and is even cheaper than competitors that i am assuming are the Mercedes Benz CL 63 AMG, Jaguar XKR (which is cheaper but not better)

I love the Granturismo. Such a sexy little car. Looks like a classic ferrari...... If they didn't care about brand competition, they should put the 562BHP Ferrari 4.5L V8 used in the Italia.....

@magnum9987 Ferrari's have flat crank high pitched V8's. Maserati has cross plane crank, making a low pitch sound. That's the tradition, so they wont put a Ferrari engine in a Maserati. Not because of brand competition. Ferrari's will always be faster anyways because they are lighter and have suspension setup more for performance. Maserati's are heavier, softer suspension and automatic gearboxes with torque converters. They don't compete with each other, different classes, regardless of power.

@sic22l No it doesn't. This is a cross plane crankshaft, Ferrari's have flat plane crankshafts. That's why Ferrari's sound high pitched and this Maserati is low pitched. There may be similarities, but they are different engines.

Yes it is. Maserati engines were designed in Ferrari/Maserati studio and they're produced in Ferrari plant in Maranello.

@sic22l Yes, it is made by Ferrari engineers, but the engines are different designs. You said the Maserati is just a tuned down Ferrari engine, wrong. It is its own design, not a tuned down Ferrari engine. Of course its made by Ferrari, they are essentially the same company, but the engines are two different designs, which is what I was arguing.

A Bugatti's engine is designed by Volkswagen and is a W design, only Volkswagen makes W engines, but we don't call it a Volkswagen engine.

It seems like the perfect everyday sports car. It looks great and sounds astonishing. I'd take one in pearl white with all of the carbon fiber aero exterior parts. It may not be the fastest horse on the farm, but it's no slouch. I'd love to have one for everyday usage. But...then again...there's that 911 Turbo S that catches my eye.
