oh my god, i wish i was in that audience! i've been on 4 cruises and 3 have been with NCL. i'm a proud Latitudes member and wouldn't have it any other way!

Well in respects to them keeping the ship clean...Ive never seen a company clean their ships so much, and chase you around with hand sanitizer like they do.

Also, NCL have been doing their best to prevent this. It's not NCL's fault, it's the passengers' who bring the disease along with them. NCL have been providing proper sanitation procedures already.

It's norovirus, not nor-walk virus. And all cruise lines face this problem, like RCI, Celebrity, Princess, HAL etc. Norovirus is everywhere, and it cannot be prevented that easily. I think you were on the Norwegian Jade which has had problems dealing with the Norovirus lately.

@jetrc2008 yeah, actually the Queen Victoria just recently had a problem with the norovirus and all of her passengers weren't allowed to disembark. the whole ship had to be sanitized. and we know how Cunard runs, they're very uptight and not the typical cruise line. it just goes to show that no matter the cruise line an out break can happen to any one. =/

On 29th Jan arr in Izmir walk off the ship & felt terrible returned to ship told cabin steward call the doc. Nobody had come to me, I went to get Imodium at hospital told me I an outbreak of Nor-walk Virus I was quarantined. Missed the important ports of call.I was told by the staff after the episode that the ship had outbreaks two voyages prior & the ship should have been cleaned. I would never recommend NCL & I am a travel advisor. They do not reply to complaints.

@gebral2007 i've been on a Royal Caribbean cruise and 3 NCL cruises and i must say, Royal Caribbean staff didn't chase us around with sanitizer! and staff ALWAYS kept the ships squeaky clean, i have to say thats all i saw them ever do was clean. my mom has been on 6 NCL cruises and never had any issues. to say that it was all their fault isn't very fair, it's just bad luck. norovirus is as catchy as a cold. i'm sorry that you missed out on those ports of call. :(
