It's amazing how all of this is still totally relevant to contemporary music. When was the last time you heard a hip hop song or a pop song without some sort of digital sound being used? Electronic music is a force of nature.

@flyingsoundmachine Of course it's still relevant. If anything, this video demonstrates a lot of what contemporary music LACKS. A lot of folks go run out and grab a ROMpler instead of a real synthesizer.

Also there's really no such thing as a "digital" sound, you can have digital equipment generating sounds, but it becomes converted to analog.

Analog *synths* on the other hand are infinitely more fun in my opinion.

@djemptyx oh I do use digital synths (JP-8000 and JV-1080 being some of my favourites), but I think analog ones are more *fun*. Simply because the analog currents can do whatever they want at times. Whereas digital is more predictable.
