If the man who shot and killed the woman at 7:10 was REAL man, he would have fought that woman unarmed and risked getting his beat or just killed her with his bare hands. Any man who uses a weapon to kill a woman or child instead of his bare hands is a fucking coward.

I really like this movie for it gives out the truth of what was going on during that horrible time. I never knew the scale of the violence and death that had gone on until I took my latin america history class and we covered this and watched this movie.

A question since I do not know any spanish except for a few words, what are the nuns singing. it starts on 3:19 - I am asking because it not only am I curious but it sounds very pretty.

what;s sad is that this the gov in el salvador and the us would do this. disgusting assholes. i pray for all the people who suffered during that time. i'm grateful that my family there was protected but sad that they had to see that for 12 yrs.

@TheFatPersonsGod: I know about the other segments. I've watched the movie quite a few times on YouTube. (I visited the chapel where Oscar Romero was assassinated in January.) I actually have the DVD at home, but often show it to friends on YouTube while I'm traveling. For me, the sad thing about the comments made about this segment was that nobody seemed to take note of the use of rape as a weapon of torture in war.

Julia really fits the role of Oscar Romero. This movie was really strong.

Raul Julia's acting is so deep & intense. Sadly, we've seen the last of him in his last major fim "Streetfighter" opposite Jean Claude Van Damme. He was still perfect for the role only that he was not as good-looking anymore due to a lingering illness...RIP
