I understand the basic that when banks loan money they want to see if you have something a value..in case the loan is not repaid....so my question is this...

If they had something of value to match what they ask for a loan wouldn't They sell it in the first place and get the money instead of going to the bank for a loan?

Well, if they sell the house, they would not have a place to live. the idea, is to pay the loan back, without losing any money. in fact, a loan can be paid by itself, if you do the right business. I personally, dont like loans. interest rate, and all that stuff, only get you in endless debth.
