  • Ollie's Gone North has a show called War Stories on Fox Noise.

  • VIOLATION OF THE CONSTITUTION! how evil! thats tyranny when the patriot act was passed. dont we get it? !

  • USSR had a few at the top with ALL Power, and the rest were MONITORED in every way, and held petty jobs with no freedom... Wake up. If you don't like NAZI germany, or former ussr (all games anyway), then you hate what has happened since 911. it is FEAR-based living.. that is not a life, that is bullshit

  • it is there for a purpose... it will be used. the 'war' on terror is a farce, it is used to make military I. complex SUPREMELY Rich; 'war' on drugs actually funds covert operations (our gov buys/sells heroin, cocaine, yeah); religion controls your spirituality. It is real, it is not scifi and it IS here.

  • I've been aware of the dangers to American citizens that the Military Commissions Act poses since its passage. But I'm glad that COA posted this expose. But that's not all. Here's one of the best summaries that I've seen yet that demonstrates all the Rights and liberties that we've lost since 9/11 in an article titled: "How the U.S. is Becoming a Police State":

  • 1983 was 53 nationwide MEDIA COMPANIES in USA - today, there is only 5-6 that rules whole US media - 5 with full disinformation.

  • Good job! Keep on good job true American!

  • Page 405 of Rockefellers biography specically has Rocky THANKING the media for keeping their secrets over the last 30 years! He added the reforms they did would never have happened had the media NOT KEPT SECRETS.

--The income for the super-rich has increased 5 - 7X over the period, where the rest of us have lost ground.

  • Thanks for sharing. People need to open their eyes.

  • the media is an integral part of the deception..

it is long past time america should wake up to the fact that they are being lied to..

  • Operation Mockingbird - CIA control of the media.

  • Todays Republican Party is akin to the National Socialist Party in Germany during Hitler's time. They are not a party of the people.

  • You need to reread your history of the Nazi party in Germany. There is no comparison. If you do not like Bush thats fine, but calling him akin to the Nazi party is a little off base.

  • comparing bush to the 40s hitler might be a bit much but this government IS starting to look a lot like the germany of the 30s when dictatorship was being put into place. sad but true.

  • Its far from it, and we are at war with terrorists. I do not have a problem with increase surveilance with restrictions or many of the other measures. They are wise and prudent. The scare is that we won't do enough to protect ourselves and someone will kill 10,000 in a large city. Then the public will demand massive measures be put into place above and beyound that that we need. Then you will have your problem, not now.

  • i wish that was true, but when you start detaining people indefinitely and interminably without recourse to any legal remedy, you no longer have a free country. it really is that simple. you didn't have freedom because you liked and trusted your rulers. you had freedom because there were checks and balances to make it so you didnt HAVE to trust your leaders. but that's no longer true.

  • You are refering to GITMO, with terrorists who are not US citizens and do not have rights as US citizens. Prisoners of war have never had the rights of the country that has held them. I believe of those who have been released as innocent, over 30 have later died in Afganistan in the battlefield. Maybe you have rulers, I don't. The check and balance system is very strong, its just not going your way. I can't help that, nor do I want to.

  • you did see in this very video where there's language now that these detentions can now be applied against american citizens, not only against these "terrorists", a group, i hasten to add, that you can't define? even if it weren't, if you got detained tomorrow there's no way you could claim you're NOT a terrorist because these people have no legal recourse. and that's my point, once you have a system like that, you've lost checks and balances and therefore freedom.

  • Since its not targeted at US civilians and would be subject to the judiciary, I really don't lose any sleep over it. Like I said before, if we don't do enough to stop terrorists now and they kill 10,000 in the future the roof is going to blow off with demands for surveillance. Then you will have a real issue. Not a could be if read the law the wrong way.

  • plus saying "we're at war with terrorists" just makes no sense. they're bad guys cuz we're at war with them, and we're at war with them because they're bad guys. they keep moving the goalposts, first it was al qaeda, now it's iraq, next it's iran. even though all these factions are actually at war with each other. however, it's making the weapons manufacturers and oil companies massive profits. but i'm sure that's just a coincidence, right?

  • You're losing me and getting irrational saying terrorists are not really bad guys and its all the fault of big oil and weapons manufacturers. I remember when I was young in the 1950s and Hitler was still alive and living in a submarine in a fiord in Norway. Or so they said.

  • well i guess we're seeing how much thought the right puts into these matters. what i'm saying is quite clear, if you cant understand it i think that goes a long way toward indicating why the war you support has created a humanitarian crisis all over the middle east and is threatening to bankrupt america, and yet you insist on chasing a enemy called "terrorists" that you're unable to define. i have no idea what do with the norway fiord stuff. it's completely irrelevant.

  • LOL, thanks for at least calling me stupid using a different venacular. I do not worry about the humanitarian crisis as it will resolve itself as the war winds down and the Iraqis come back to a country governed by elected Iraqis and able to provide for thier own security. I seem to remember the same "bankrupting America" during the Vietnam war. Lets see, the war so far has cost 600 billion. The bush tax cuts were 600 billion." Seems more like an argument to reinstate the taxes.

  • no, you dont worry about the humanitarian crisis because youre not an iraqi civilian.

  • But I do understand the reasons behind the refuges that left Iraq due to the death squads of Sadr. They were after revenge for the many years of oppression by the minority Sunnis. Often the oppression was brutal. The backlash from the Shia is somewhat understandable however the surge put a stop to the "civil war". Now the Sunnis are returning, hoping for the best and the Shia are becoming less afraid of the Sunnis. The "crisis" under Sadam was worse and the Iraqi majority are now better off.

  • well thanks for that. i'm not sure how this interpretation differs from the rather blithe simplifications i see on cable news but... anyway, you seem genuine in your conviction that the administration is doing good in iraq, i'll give you that. i think you have to ignore most of what's happening over there to believe it but i hope that you're right, even though i find it a difficult belief to share myself.

  • Don't watch CNN or Fox, or NBC, or CBS, or BBC. But on cable I do enjoy the cooking network. At least the creativity is believable. I do watch the net, and read several blogs, closely, read the paper,(with tongue in cheek) and get a couple of magazines on a regular basis. It is not a matter of ignoring whats happening as it is of seeing through the smoke screen put out by your favorite party,(whoever it may be), and putting the facts of what is actually happening in historical context.

  • Don't know of anyone who has a problem identifing the terrorists. They are listed all over the web with the crimes they committed. Not to mention Iraq where they have built a huge database on terrorists. (Thats people who use civilians to terrorize, so they can promote thier agenda). Conspirocy theories are a major issue in the world as they bring uneducated people into "secret" knowledge they have that the world is not aware of and they must help educate the world to thier special knowledge.

  • Uh, yeah they addressed it, they brought a new bill to focus utterly on domestic terrorism. Perhaps habeus corpus has been eliminated from the rights of citizens in a more direct manner? Bears further research.
