  • woodn'y u love to be the guy who is the human test dummy for all the slams and holds in this video?

  • these guy are dumb. an "MMA" kick? thats just the muay thai kick. wth

  • why did they want fuckin tito ortiz?

  • i guess they couldnt withstand his whining so they had to get him on board thats my guess

  • just wanted to state that because they were kicking in different styles of course the deflection would be different notice how the mu tai only does a short distance upward knee thrust and the mma fighter does like 5 times the differencein distance

  • Ohhh ma gwash big tits at 1:27

  • I think it would be more interesting if they came out with a show where Martial artists fought with just one style rather then just with a bunch of styles like MMA or UFC.

  • @SleepingWolf26

Then Brazilian jiu-jitsu would always win.

  • they shouldve brought buakaw or masato for muay thai

  • Dean lister shouldn't even be in this bunch. He's always been afraid to get hit. If he can't get you down, he doesn't stand a chance. Bas is the hardest hitting of all these guys, and Randy is the best ground guy. So Tito and dean are the two out of place ones here.

  • great show but some of the comparisons aren't fair; it credits mma fighters' ability to match boxer's strength to kinetic energy (or w/e) and then in the next minute briefly mentions that, o yea, mma fighters train their punching like boxers, so of course its gonna be the same. and that muay thai guy looked a lot smaller than bas, how can u make a scientific conclusion with two largely differnt variables?

  • @jdude05 not sure what you are saying. if but you are saying that they should've used someone of equal size to the muay thai figther? well that is not true. there are plenty of smaller guys that kick harder than bigger guys. chung lee is one of them. wonder if he would've out kicked bas

  • lol, you know they're just feeding his ego...but i have to say i'm extremely impressed

  • I would definitely like to see the data on the smaller fighters. These guys are all heavyweight. Some of us just are physically incapable of ever reaching heavyweight range. I'm a little guy, scrappy, but a little guy. I want to know what the physical limits for a guy my size are.

  • 2:15 How good IS this new breed of fighters? No its how good ARE these new breed of fighters Someone at nat geo cant speak english lol

  • "is" is the verb for "breed". so he's right.

  • "breed" is singular.

  • really? am i wrong? im seriously asking you bec i want to know how to speak correctly. I thinik they made a mistake

  • really :p

    "breed is"

you would say "these breeds are," but not "this breed are," or "these breed are"

I don't know the names of any of the rules, but that's the best way I can explain it

  • yes you're wrong. breed is singular.

  • god damit lol tito is my boy haha

  • advert starting to annoy me..

  • Have they ever measured a round house kick in any of the episodes?

  • UFC is gay. Only meat head, Jersey Shore wannabe motherfuckers watch that shit.

  • @d0861 ok bro its just one of the fastest growing sports in the world haha but ok u go on opinion ill go on fact..... u got ur ass kicked by a mma fighter huh pooor baby im 19 been training for two years and on the side im an all american LB bound for Arizona on a full ride.....from one athlete to some average joe ur just a hater

  • Nah, Bro. You just proved my point, broseph. Yo, brofessor, why you goin to Arizona? Didn't they get their ass kicked in the Holiday Bowl, brohim? Yeah, I think they did, brah. The fact that it's one of the "fastest growing sports in the world just proves to me that the world is full of shitheads like you, brohammed.

  • This is my favorite Fight Science episode.

Randy broke a crash test dummy...LOL!

  • Errmmm...typo. I meant if you think UFC ISNT a sport...

    Yeah...silly me.

  • i study under traditional martial arts(Tae kwon Do, Kung Fu,etc) and ive always had a problem with mma practioners. they always try to out macho me, saying my art is just for show(im still in high school)

but this doc. opened my eyes

  • OMG youtube and these damn advertisements!

  • they forgot to measure leg kick to the head

  • "UFC is now becoming one of the worlds most popular sports"

WTF?!? Since when is UFC a sport, lmao, National Geographic is a joke.

  • since always? why isn't it a sport? It's more "sport" than Nascar.

  • Your an idiot if you think UFC is a sport. You must be one of the idiot kiddies who likes to flaunt around for WWE. Forrest Griffin would KO any single one of TNA or WWE's fighters.

The reason this is a sport is because there is so much technique, skill, and physical engineering. See any of the wrestlers on WWE do anything other than a flashy backflip off a top rope that doesnt hurt anyone at all.

  • rite rite tired

  • why is TIto Ortz on this ??? lol

  • cause its mixed martial arts...

  • but he's tuuurable lol

  • haha dude... he has twins coming with jenna jameson. the lose vagina. shes gonna give birth in only 3 seconds and be like "oh? baby i just delivered, gimme a cigarette."

  • kinda dumb to compare traditional guys against mma guys. most of these fighters started off in traditional styles (bas rutten himself is a karate blackbelt) MMA is not a style in itself its more of a rule set.

  • It's a style now. There are mma gyms. You no longer need to cross train with various styles.

  • @spamllpitdept MMA gyms consists of a striking instructor a grappling instructor, and a cardio/fitness coach. Now the striking instructor may have a prior history of teaching and competing in many styles like KICKBOXING, KUNG-FU, BOXING, KARATE, etc. he doesn't teach you how to throw an "MMA punch" or a "MMA kick" he just teaches you how to strike in the manner he deems the most effective.

  • @spamllpitdept Likewise the grappling instructor isn't gonna teach you MMA chokes hes gonna teach you judo, BJJ, wrestling, etc. all of the moves and techniques you see on the ufc have been around for a long time you are just now starting to see them in a different context

  • Yes. Basically you're learning punching, kicking, chokes, etc ... things that they deem effective. To call it karate or judo because thats where they may have gotten the chokes from is like calling every martial art Pankration or Kung Fu since thats where it all started. These styles don't own a punch. MMA is pretty much a style now in that you can go to MMA gyms and learn MMA not wrestling + BJJ + Muay Thai + whatever like in the old days.

  • (continued) Now days in mma gyms you learn striking and grappling together intertwined ... not go to bjj class at 5pm and muay thai at 7pm like the old days. MMA has pretty much become a style.

  • exactly what i been thinking..

  • WTF is this? Wheres Yoshimitsu? and Jin Kazama? Wheres Goku and Vegeta?... this is lame...

  • HAHA just kidding. Dont get all super saiyan angry on me guys. I was just joking.

  • @betterdropdatdonk kaaaaaaaameeeehhaaaaaameeeehhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! KABLAMO!

  • Pfff i like mma but this documentary is very misleading

  • ooo 0 views but i know by now it probly has more fml

  • 1st =]

    this sh*t is crazy!!!
