  • I'm really confused about their songs. They have only one studio album (as far as I know, at least). But there are about ten other songs I've found on YouTube. Are these early releases for future albums?

  • Best Band on Earth.

  • seriously anticipating their new album!!! :D

  • he sounds like johnny cash.. impressive

  • 68 people won't be home in a little while...

  • Baldwin @ 02:29

  • Man how can this be...JUST 3 YEARS AGO, I WAS LISTENING TO LIL WAYNE AND THOSE LAME MAINSTREAM ARTISTS. BUT, now these are the only kind of music i would listen to- I guess i've become smarter!

  • @omgcurlyfries who are you talking to?

  • first time i've heard this song by them, and once again no disappointments

  • So beautiful. I can't recall when i was moved that way by a male voice. And brilliant playing of course, it always is.

  • May i say that i was THE 1ST. person to watch this video. The absolute first

  • love it

  • Really great stuff.. keep that way.. and thanks

  • This song is really relevant to a situation i'm facing in life at the moment, so i can relate to it.. It's a good song too :')

  • love this

  • beautiful <3 the only word needed to describe this song and every other song they have done. x

  • Lovely new song.

  • Why in the world I hadn't heard this song until now?? I called myself a M&S groupie, ha. Amazing, as all they do!

  • Sometimes I feel bad for raping the replay button...

But then I'm like "loljk no I don't..."

  • Where the hell is theFryersmuck?

  • Best song I have ever heard. Any era or age.

  • His voice makes me wanna cry T - T

  • people, if we all like the music stop the arguing and unite against a common enemy, like justin beiber or someone

  • I can run like 1400 yards in the time it takes to listen to this song. However I would much rather listen to this song then be running 1400 yards

  • hello Mumford fans! I really want to show you all a band that if you like Mumford you will love! Look up Beirut in the search bar, specifically "Elephant Gun" for the most similar to Mumford sound by them. Enjoy!

  • @Riptide358 Beirut is one of my favorite bands

The Penalty might be my favorite song of all time

  • @Riptide358 I found Beirut when it said on M&S's website that they were on tour together. Not as good as M&S but still a very talented a nd entertaining band

  • @SeanBrasdshaw ol beirut and M&S is on par... i may say beirut is more talented than M&S... the music arrangement by beirut is beautiful!!

  • How can someone dislike this? There's nothing to dislike about it!

  • Oh my god, Winston is sooo sweeeeeeeet!! ♥

  • been waiting for a new song! doesn't disappoint, such honest music, no bells and whistles, raw talent!

  • @dare2dance2 keep your head up and stay positive. I'm 14 and have had some rough times in my life now and then so I feel you. And to everyone being mean sometimes if your in a rough spot it's hard to keep it inside but you don't have anyone to tell. Putting it out there just so you can see it all out there helps. Quit judging! But seriously let's just concentrate on the music...

  • this song cursed 4 of my other favs to loop this song for the next 4 favs

  • this amazing to play on a banjo :) you guys are the best x 10000000000000

  • This is real music

  • Im 16, will be 17 in couple of months and I hope I can be able to presume this songs when im old with my sons telling them....thats the music of my generation, of course along with other great artist, but this band is beginning to be of my taste :D

  • Looking for a girl from canada who is learning to play the banjo, we were having a conversation on omegle before we were rudely interupted.

  • hypnotizing

  • @NinjaMonkeyWarrior Exactly what I was thinking...

  • 2:29. Its true. Jack Donaghy really can do anything and everything.

  • :) That is all.

  • 67 people are homeless

  • @TheJuggernaut1322 shut the fuck up

  • @Snight101 I can see why you chose your picture

  • I want this to be my generations oldies

  • @2HootHoot it will.

  • @2HootHoot I used to be worried about what was going to be on the golden oldies station when this generation got older, but after hearing this I think we all can rest a little easier.

  • @chiggerwood I agree

  • @2HootHoot My generations oldies is gonna be little wayne and Nicky Minaj lmao

  • @thelivingsped Ew that is exatly why I would rather have mumford and sons as my generations oldies. All Nicki minaj and lil wayne have to sing about is partyin' and basically all forms of sex. There is a time and place for that kind of music for example the club or parties. But seriously, I would rather listen to nothing than listen to them throughout my old age AND why did you bring them up on this awsome song?

  • @2HootHoot I just wanted to say thanks for still defending a comment you made four days ago. And it's the truth. This should be our oldies.

  • @rajnair58 haha no prob

  • @2HootHoot I agree, I would rather listen to nothing.

  • @2HootHoot it won't be, it will be lady gaga and similar bullshit

  • @NOLA556 I personally dont think so. The oldies of my parents generation are timeless and no matter how many times my parents have listed to the same oldies song, they never get sick of it because it has soul. I dont think a lot of people find soul in the pop music of today so I think eventually the partiers of today will get tired of it and turn to music more meaningful as they grow in age...if that makes sense lol

  • @2HootHoot yes, sadly is probably wont be. :( It would be all the POP crap.

  • Comment removed

  • @mucic4life217 I think the "pop crap" will eventually become redundant and good pop music will be revived

  • @2HootHoot damn yes

  • @2HootHoot move to england with me

  • @deanrhanley as much as I like the weather. I can't. lol

  • @2HootHoot of course it won't be. As much as you want folk music to represent "your" generation, your hopes will continue to blow in the wind while the REAL SOUND of this era passes you by. 2010s oldies will be songs like Party Rock Anthem, E.T., We Found Love, Rolling in the Deep etc.. MONSTER hits; not pretty little counter-culture, white bluegrass-folk variations that fail to create any NEW sounds and grooves like the popular music you hate. Still... it's nice easy listening :)

  • @ashleyrawx96 It doesnt have to be just folk music, I want to listen to a variety of music when I get older, but I'm hoping that what becomes our oldies will be music with a little more meaning behind it instead of sensless partying and drug use. I only listen to Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, etc when im hangin out or partying, etc not 24/7.

  • this better be on sophomore :')

  • awesome

  • Beautiful.

  • Did you see them in telluride? Because they definitely played this at telluride bluegrass festival 2011. In the pouring rain, it was amazing.

  • I saw them live and they played this song.

The album's not even released yet and I still knew all the words <3

  • class

  • What a beautiful song.

  • This song reminds me of that one time when I was at work and I called up my girlfriend and I said "Yeah, Ill be home."

  • pain is not an 18+ policy. some people need to wake up and have a serious reality check.

  • @burn1980 Are you mocking me?

  • @dare2dance2 whats mocking?

  • @burn1980 making fun of someone. Imitating them. Stuff like that.

  • @dare2dance2 don't mock me coz im 2 i know what it means

  • @burn1980 hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • I love this band so very much. I love how they don't just make music. They feel it and really put their soul into what they do. It's beautiful.

  • love guitar in this

  • If you like Mumford and Sons ALOT. I'm about to rock your world with this artist. Search William Elliot Whitmore - Hell or High Water. That's amazing stuff, just as nice as mumford.

  • @Thebensupremacy hey thanks man, i have now found another artist to support!

  • JAGER BOMBS TO THIS SHIT ASS SHAKIN CHYEA. :3

  • jesus dick these guys know how to dress

  • @Aeshir2 I think that every time I look at their pics! Well....not the jesus dick part...but you know what I mean

  • Haven't really ever listened to Mumford & Sons up until last week...and words cant describe how they're songs make me feel.I had a rough go at life as a child, into my teens..and now in my late 20's..losing my mother, never knowing my father..and broken relationships...recently in my life i have searched for music that hits how i feel about life, and experience..and i have found that in many artists...but not like these guys, they are amazing..every song.

  • NEW CD COME OUT FASTER.

  • these guys should have preformed at grammies again this year

  • Not trying to be a dick...but life sucks. Do whatever you need to get past that, but it's how shit works in the world. Do your best to give your kids a good life, try to do your best. But, really? It's just getting started, boyo.

  • @dare2dance2. successful troll is successful

  • Hey! remember when social networking didnt exist and people werent on youtube all the time commenting and trying to bring someone else down? get a job, get off the computer. get some sunlight while listening to beautiful piece of art.

  • Holy crap, I'm in tears

  • @dare2dance2. or rather to the 'adults' attacking him/her? Before you tell a kid something you know, something you have learned, consider if that kid can REMIND you of something you have forgotten, forsaken, or betrayed. There can be a great exchange between the different age groups. We need each other.

  • First ever top comment, i have commented on plenty of music over the years --- its great my first one was on a Mumford and Sons' song :)

  • Rockness I´m coming! :D

  • I saw this video about a week after it came out, when there were only a couple thousand views, and I'm so proud of M&S for now having almost 2 million.

Keep playing, Marcus, Ted, Winston, and Ben, I can't live without you guys <3

  • If a kid says they have seen suffering and then refer to relationships lost or bullying, I dont take them too seriously since that is pretty common stuff. However, if they dont say what that suffering is, they could be referring to 14 years of murder, cancer treatment, molestation, horrible beatings or worse. There is worse than those. So unless you are going to throw your experiences out there for comparison, hush it.

  • Everytime I listen to Mumford and Sons it reminds me of my Ipod that has now been lost for about a week..........GODDAMN IT!!!!

  • Great song, great band, just love it !

  • love this song - they always get me in the right mood :)

  • 2:30 DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRP

  • M&S is like a brain massage.

  • Always get me outta of being depressed :) Love them.

  • this song is so beautiful <3

  • Absolutly love these guy's!!!!

  • wth is going on here? Shouldn't this be a blog about this song and M&S??

I am getting tired of blogs like this (ESPN may be worse) where people lash out at others who have differing opinions. This whole "Youth Debate" is just crap. As a generalization, kids don't know crap. I was young and thought knew it all. It is amazing how much more is out there, life experiences, etc etc. But yes, there are some kids wise beyond there years.

Let's get back to the music and not Idealogical debates!

  • This band deserves more than they have received. If you found beauty in this, if you found relation in this, encourage it :)

  • here's the story, of a man named mumford, who was busy wi

  • @dare2dance2 Don't let the ignorance of people older and "more mature" than you weigh you down. I don't know what you've been through, but I know what I went through at your age and younger. If it's anything like that, then I feel for you. Feel free to message me if you ever need to talk. Some people don't think "kids" have any real problems, my guess is you and I know better.

  • @ShokwavesFTW Yeah because it's not like kids are ever abused or have to deal with any real shit right? We live in a society where that doesn't happen and all they have to worry about is that iPhone. Yeah I agree some people have it worse, but I don't think he/she said that his/her life was the hardest on the planet. So why don't you back off of someone you don't even know because you are furthering a view that children don't have problems which allows this abuse to happen unnoticed.

  • @Headhunter025 In response to it being a fact that all "kids" have seen less of the world its problems than people who are 20, 30, or 40, and that is simply not true. Some kids have been abused, raped, dealt with homelessness, drugs, and alcohol in a way many people at least at the age of 20 had not had to. Don't judge someone else without knowing their experience. The kid could be whining about not having an IPOD or could have real problems to deal with. You don't know, so don't act like it

  • can't get enough of this<3

  • there is always something uniquely, adictively raw about thier music. thank you M&S for your music.

  • Eargasmmm from 0:01 to 4:15 *_*

  • are these guys ever gonna be touring canada?

  • @TropicFusions They did, during mid to end last October (2011). I saw them at Copps Arena but they stopped in Montreal, Toronto and Hamilton

  • i listen to disturbed eminem black veil brides etc and frikin lv this band x-x

  • Im a fan of punk rock and classic rock. How the hell do i like this music?

  • @Powerthirst150

I'm the same way. M&S play from the gut, and there's no resisting that.

  • sadly the days of my childhood are faded black, people no longer ingage like that

I grew up with mud slinging up from the tires, and mallets were a mans favorite atire

loud metal music and full on metal hair, showed people how much in appearance they really cared

i cant falter or laugh for the smell of home perms bring me back, even while i roam this crazy earth

it brings me home, to a place i sat near the hearth

  • Mumford and Son's have gotten me through my grandads death, they'll get me through this too..

  • simply beautiful :)

  • Perfect. On many levels.

  • This is my absolute favorite song; I spent my Saturday singing it with my best friend at the top of our lungs in the car with all the windows down and it was indescribably perfect. I love you, Mumford.

  • It doesn't get any better than Mumford & Sons . My life is complete at last .

  • This band is awesome i literally just started listening to them like.....20 minutes ago!

  • My definition of love.

  • Brilliant

  • Anyone else realize that @TheFryersmuck has the top comment on like....15 M&S videos? lol..

  • @berlintyler He's in the band.

  • @berlintyler That is because Fryersmuck is not contained by things that us mere mortals are. He skips around time as it is nothing to him.

  • @GoWithTh3Flow ... He's the Doctor...

  • @GoWithTh3Flow I think that Fryersmuck is actually Chuck Jesus in disguise
