I remember seeing a flyer in the late 80s for a show that had The Exploited, Agnostic and Anthrax playing one gig together. I can only imagine what must have went down when hundreds of Anarchist Punks, Skins and Long Hairs/ Thrashers all got packed into the Olympic. Must have looked like a royal rumble.
the olympic was the best plae to see punk rock bar none. olympic auditorium rocked period point blank. to quiz: thats what made it dope---you never knew was gonna happen at the olympic. long live the olympic and punk rock.
we had DMS back in the late 80s early 90s there was this fat kid danny who wore black gloves and would sucker punch anyone who was near him ,, hes a cop now , fucking typical scum
probably the most underrated hardcore punk band ,, always a great live show ,, ya the skinheads ruined many shows here in new york too , fuckers never fight 1 on 1 pussies
The Olympic was bar none the scariest crazyiest place to see a punk show ever. It's pretty much indescribable. There would be over 100 skin heads. The Exploited/Agnostic Front show was a complete mess. There would be 3-5,000 kids all packed in together and something always happened.
kids are too afraid to jump up on dance on stage like this...i dont understand why though, its like :
"oh look im soo punk rock and anti everything but im not too sure if i wanna bring the pit onto the stage..."
shit like this is STARTING to come in down here in miami. its starting to happen with these local bands that all the TRUE TO THE HEART punks down here listen to: The Panix and OPS down at this bar called Churchills Pub
nah man. get the right band to play people will do it!!! kids too!!! when i went to see pennywise people stomped on each others backs to get on stage!!
thats pennywise dude, of course kids are gonna go crazy. any band thats popluar to the masses: pennywise, bad religion, offspring, casualties, theres always going to be a large turnout of kids going crazy. and thats not fair to local bands in the area of where those bigger bands play b/c they take away any chance of having ppl at their show. youthbrigade may be pretty big now, but in that vid there is when they were just a local act, and the kids are goin crazy for a band of kids just like them
yeah i see your point but in this video im pretty sure youth brigade had recognition in their hometown or their county. sometimes it all depends. obviously this cant happen in a backyard show on the count of the cops would probably raid it. if local bands play in a venue chances are theyre named is already recognized from playing countless backyard shows getting a lot of fans. so more fans=more crazyness. well sometimes it depends on the music and how popular it is in their hometown.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
the peak of the hardcore movement, I'm suprised punk shows were still that big in '84, I thought the scene had died by that time.

Youth Brigade's an exception, that's why I love em so much, they're still around and touring, playing all their great stuff.
