  • Needs another meter or so of tail pipe - to lower the resonant frequency.

    Valves may be sitting on too large an unsupported area and will break soon.

    Good so far though.

  • Not too bad, just don't know why you would machine your own intake tube, combustion chamber and exhaust pipe, then use an empty fizzy buble' bottle for fuel storage.lol Its still better than anything I have ever built though!

  • I tried to buld oneo thease engines Veeeeeerrrry difficult but it is not apulse jet but a ram jet as per the exact plans that i have that's why when he add's air it runs a little better but ultmitly they run best at super sonic speed's this is why the small intake

  • Buen trabajo en el flaper pero me parece que esta corto ,,proba alargerle el tubo de escape unos 40 cm y anda probando a ver que pasa ,,, tenes que jugar bastante con la mezcla hasta que la combustion se sostenida, agregale un espiralito de nicron aparte de la bujia de chispa, tenes que probar hasta que ande,, saludos . er,,,, si , la musica por ahi no te ayuda mucho tampoco..

  • encontre el diseño. si no es el mismo es muy parecido. se llama "pulso 3" no se si es ruso o aleman, checo o gringo pero es muy simple el diseño.

  • The valves look too massive for the frequency of the engine. If it was longer, those valves would work better, or smaller valves since you can't really elongate the engine.

  • Su demasiado corta y las válvulas son demasiado largos. Lo sé porque ya he construido un diámetro de 30cm de chorro de pulso que con sólo 2 grandes semi-circular de válvulas. Eran tan grande el calor distorsionado casi de inmediato. Mi válvula de transportista y válvulas requiere un nuevo diseño y lo hacen suyo. Creo que el cuerpo puede ser corregida mediante la adición de 1 m de tubo de acero inoxidable el mismo diámetro que el diámetro de salida actual.

  • Excellent build quality, but the German guy is right. Its too short and the valves are too long. I know this because I have already built a 30cm diameter (yes, diameter) pulse jet which I made with only 2 large semi-circular valves. They were so large the heat distorted them almost immediately. My valve carrier and valves required a re-design and so do yours. I think the body could be corrected by adding 1m of stainless tube the same diameter as the current exit diameter.

    Zu allererst das Triebwerk ist zu dick und zu Kurz, es fehlt auch die Flammenblende Ich glaube dass die Ventilklappen viel zu gross sind und nicht mit der Resonanzfrequenz des Rohres uebereinstimmen Abhilfe:: Strahlrohr verlaengern damit die Resonanz/fr tiefer wird, und kleine Stahlventile verwenden Kleine ventile schwingen auch langsam da sie vom Rohr dazu gezwungen werden..   • Well anyone that kowns anyting about pulse engines knows, thats not working!!! " drill a new hole and put the fuel jet, after the valve, about an inch to 1.5 inchs from the valve, in the combustion chaimber, Then you have a rocket from hell.. :-)

  • This engine will never run without forced air for many reasons. The valving design is bad and the duct design is wrong. Even if it did run, the valves would burn out almost immediately due to the design of the valve-plate.

  • You should measure the thrust.

    Upon watching it a second time (And cringing at the music) I think that maybe this thing could work at speed.

    The faster it goes the more the flaps open and the more power is made, the slower it goes the more the flaps close and the less ower is made, thus also adding to fuel economy. Although that could be controlled electronically through the actual ship that it's propelling... None the less, interesting concept.

    It never flew...but makes a hell of a lot of noise!

  • i think the valveplates are to thick,

    and the jet could not open the valve by itself, thats wy it is only running with the air blower at the front.

  • Valve plates are too thick and the hinges aren't loose enough.

    Also, they're built for simplicity.

    This, while impressive, is much less simple.
