Remember the ancients used cycles. Their calenders are cyclic. Our calenders are linear. (Examples) People wondered what will happen in 2000? Well it's linear, so 2001 comes after 2000. The 'theory' behind 2012 is completely different because its the end of their cyclic calender, and the reference point it crosses on our linear calender is 2012.
Cycles happen on greater levels just like we travel around the sun taking 365 days then call it 1 year, the sun also does this, and so does our galaxy.

Remember the ancients used cycles. Their calenders are cyclic. Our calenders are linear. (Examples) People wondered what will happen in 2000? Well it's linear, so 2001 comes after 2000. The 'theory' behind 2012 is completely different because its the end of their cyclic calender, and the reference point it crosses on our linear calender is 2012.
Cycles happen on greater levels just like we travel around the sun taking 365 days then call it 1 year, the sun also does this, and so does our galaxy.
