  • Thyrfing fits well to this scene. Unfortunately some wimps can't endure true metal.

  • I can't stop laughing while this song was played...HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

  • mel gibson sure likes being covered in blood

  • Idiot song.Fuck You,

  • Well to be fair to the English we did conquer Wales a few years before the first scottish war of independence.

  • if i got 1 dollar for every pixel in this video, i needed to pay them

  • on scotish kill four because they are to strong

  • Christ. Those English are poor soldiers. You wouldnt think they were the nation that historically had an empire that conquored 75% of the earth would you? If i diddnt know better, I would say that this film is tainted by a tiny droplet of scottish propaganda. Oh and Wallace wasnt a facist australian either

  • @tommiatkins almost correct in everything you said. the english never had an empire (apart from a bit of france and ireland, and bits of Scotland). Said empire was the British empire. Thankfully now all gone. And, yes, they must have been poor soldiers, or poorly led, as they outnumbered the Scots 3 - 1 and had many more heavy horses. Oh, and it was worse at Bannockburn. But never mind: we're with you in your wars now (for how long?). :-)

  • @tammas2000 We certainly did have an empire. Just not at that particular point in time. This is supposed to be Stirling Bridge isnt it? A battle lost by the English because they should have never tried crossing when opposed. Pfft. Opposed crossings in medieval times was suicide whoever the opponent was. So yep, badly led indeed but the battle is poorly portrayed in this blatently Anglophobic film. Glad the Scots are in the Union now. We started winning wars only when you joined :)

  • @tommiatkins its funny because they had known about the link between bridge crossing and being slaughtered 1000's of years before this battle

  • @tammas2000 not that i like the idea of england having an empire and I am English, but it was huge, they owned a huge amount of land over seas, parts of india and africa, australia, canada, parts of america new zealand and more! do you mean they never had an empire before the medieval times? 15th century plus

  • @tho10001 tho: what are you on about? Those countries you list were part of the British Empire, not the English. There was no such thing as an English empire. Don't you know when the union was formed? If not, google it, OK? One more thing: a hugely disproportionate amount of Scots have died fighting for the Brutish empire. Yes, we know, we're better fighters than you, but that's not fair, is it?

  • What a stupid fucking song.

  • @scotsguy77 a better song for this scene is icepick's onward to victory.

  • The song is called Going Berserk. It is by Thyrfing on their first full length released in 1998. Song is perfect for such a video!

  • poor horses! this is so crule to animals!! >:(

  • What's the name of the song?

  • @BBoy88s Going Berserk, on Thyrfing's album titled Thyrfing. :)

  • What's the name of the song?

  • charge

  • Great battle, ruined by godawful music. Thumbs down.

  • sorry for the duplicate posts, btw, I had to edit Gibson's name.

  • gh3master666, Gibson explains this on the DVD. He acknowledges the actual battle took place on a bridge, but wouldn't really have been that exciting seeing English soliders just get picked off coming across a bridge. No, seeing both sides charge full force is much more exciting. And though people complain this movie isn't historically accurate, this film is what made me want to research what really happened. And Braveheart has turned me into a medieval history buff. So thanks Mel Gibson!

  • the part where braveheart cuts that guys head off is the best part

  • if thats the battle of stirling it dusent even have the bridge if ud notice the stirling battle on breaveheart dusent have the bridge cus it was made in hollywood

  • this battle is one of the best battles ever made in movies. It outclasses Gladiator and Lord of the ring.

  • Nice choice of music XD

  • Its obvious that to be free you cant have people rule you

This is why they faught - they faught to stay free but lost so now we live under rule

We should have mass freedom demonstrations

although i doubt they would give up power voluntarily as they shed a lot of our ancestors blood to gain it as we see here
