xin yi ba and xin yi liu he quan were said to have been invented as on art taught to both the monks and the muslim tribes by the founder and thusly they both evolved seperatly

i can personally attest to how difficult xin yi is to train effectively. my thighs were on fire not half way into class!

Yes of course there is a connection they are both XinYi Fists but the forms and application are completly diffrent.

plus XinYiBa is not armed combat and is only single fist and XinYi liu he quan has one armed combat fist and one single fist.

@Tangren02 Historian believe that xinyiba was one origin of xinyiliuhequan : Ji longfeng (Ji jike) is said to have created his art of boxing by turning his "six harmonies spear" method into a boxing method by combining its principles with shaolin xinyiba and wuxingquan, which (they claim) he studied at shaolin temple...
