Is it possible to stop the aircraft in an even shorter distance. I'm sure you all are familiar with paper airplanes, sometimes, just be fore landing the plane would pitch up 35 degrees or so, in turn slowing it dramatically, and then it would touchdown almost directly after having a much shorter landing.( this is in a gymnasium smooth tiled floor and no disturbances).
What's the max pressure the landing gear can handle? Why not land that bitch on a dime? I just did not notice the tactility of the maneuver in question. - srsly - Get Baha suspention on that shit
It's not impossible to land this way irl other then that a real 777 would land faster and deacelerates slower for it probably not be able to stop in time as you also landed 1/3rd down the runway.
A real 777 would have stalled for pulling up that fast under the given decent rate.
But the stunt is doable
But we all know your good anyway. All cool videos nontheless. Funny how you post dozen of videos starting with your lessoning to your current carreer and near professionalism
@ atomicrocketcar. This is san diego Intl airport. In real world thet have to bank that hard in order to dodge the high buildings and the mountains. Plus the runway is short so he had to have no throttle in order to slow down.
@atomrocketcar dude cessna154 is a great FSX pilot. he knows what he is doing, check out his channel he has alot of views. alot of subscribers. his own aviation news site and his own FSX online show.
@90Blakey oh, i was pretending i'm talking to the real pilot, like as in real life, after he pull that hot shot stunt, not to the computer sim pilot, i fly 747 upside down all day, and do landings with no landing gears, he is a great pilot bro, peace
@interplexer it is a gliding technique called the "forward slip" that the captain of flight air canada used with their 767-200, meaning bank left but rudder hard right, and by doing say staying on the same path without changing heading, but slipping forward through "air" therefore reducing both speed and altitude. hope you learned something, cheers dude :)
@interplexer It's commonly used in the air force, most of the time I've seen it with the C-17's and C-130's...the approach is higher than the usual glide angle, as you approach from a high altitude and drops fast 'til touchdown. As it was told, If we're in a war zone, we don't want our planes get hit during approach, and simply, dive fast and land it. if not, an assault landing.
I love FS. Great video . It was a tight approach . Have you ever seen the C-130's do there steep dive before they touch down . Try that in a 777 . I have done it in the 737 but nothing bigger on FSX of course lol.
Yup... That landing is possible in real life... It is an airport they use that kind of approach on... Can´t quite remember, but they need to do that approach to not crash into a building.. I think it was about 90 degrees turn to the left seconds before landing... That approach is awarded with the most dangerous approach... So far NO casualties has taken place there, but people have experienced lots of nearly catostrophies there... In short: That kind of approach is possible (but hard) in real!
horriblelanding because u landed at the half point when usually most pillots areon 20 knots at themid point and u forced into the ground not making a smooth landing... practice will make u better.
Man i think that your landing was bad cause i never seen i plane with so short time of reverse trust use while the plane is braking after landing , and in your cass i think that you have to keep it active more time with more reason just for the because of that your landing was a little big tall.
@Cessna154 great vid though i love your vids have you ever thought of becoming a instructor? (that is if you have your license and all the requirements)
actually this landing is possible in real life its meant for military aircraft in a combat zone we do it to avoid a long approach as a safety precaution in a approach were exposed to enemy fire that can bring are plane down due to the length of a normal approach tactical shortens that allowing us to actually land on the ground mostly cargo planes do this C-5 C-130 or the one i fly C-17
(yes im a C-17 pilot and i play flight sim as well lol)
this is a TACTICAL laning, which is used in real life scenarios such as war, to avoid enemy fire......although im asuuming you probably wouldnt do it in a 777 lols. awesome vid :)
Yeh what that dude said below on this i wouldnt have done what u done i would have ducked the nose and put the engines on reverse the flaps would break but if u line up correctly it should land fine
@hankwest988 If you have spoilers extended, and pull full left stick, the left side spoilers will lower to allow the plane to bank without creating unnecessary drag and vice versa.
Great landing. I don't get why people say this wasn't an insane landing, maybe in the simulator itself but in real life that would've not been a normal landing, and because FS are supposed to 'simulate' real life: It was an insane landing.
@sallytoothfuck That's people these days. So ignorant of others and they think they know it all. If it isn't their way it's the wrong way. That's the way we're brought up these days.
