  • RED DEVIL FTW

  • I like the view of the mountains before the first drop.

  • I'm sorry but a coaster with a lift hill that leads to the station makes for a very anticlimactic finish. Just like Adventure Express at Kings Island.

  • I rode this coaster back in 1989 when it was called the Red Devil. I loved the ride because you could just stay on the coaster and ride it over and over if nobody else was waiting to ride. I rode it six times in a row before moving on. Not a spectacular coaster but it was the best that Ghost Town had to offer. I actually liked the parks uniqueness a lot.

  • @227titan actually they are

  • I live and Worked up there

  • what country is this in?

  • @Dude0096 North Carolina, USA

  • Hey, you did great with the camera on the roller coaster! You even managed to get great views of the area. Love hearing the wind hitting the camera. Good stuff.

  • Ghost Town is currently closed due to a lands slide.

  • @MountainsbyGabi it went bankrupt

  • I would never go on a ride like that in my life.

  • I grew up going here on vacation for many years. They added more rides in the 1980's and later then the family sold it as they were getting really old.It didn't open for 5 years and the new owners trying to fix things etc.Heard you have to be driven up the top as the ski lift and train no longer run.:(

  • woow if you were shaking at that roller coaster thats sad cause that roller coaster is really small try going somewhere else like cedar point or busch gardens those are some shaking roller coasters

  • A TOTALY unique coaster......The only operating coaster (incorporating a loop) that uses the topography for the drop and has the lift at the END of the ride !!! COOL!

  • it's built by Hopkins, just in case you haven't found out by now. Oh yeah, and I think this looks pretty fun, but still kind of kiddish compared to what I've been on. I think this is still a pretty cool location for a coaster, though.

  • This was the first Coaster I ever rode, about 15 years ago. It was called the Red Devil back then. I was 7 years old riding with my dad. it scared the hell outta me. There was almost nobody at the park that day so when the train came back into the station the operator just sent in through again without stopping the ride, I cried in terror lol

  • I thought this place closed down? I guess I was wrong, and I am glad I am wrong. I remember how much I loved that place,

  • Cliffhanger is REOPEN!!! 9/25/09. Also new attraction HOUSE OF TERROR up at Ghost Toown. FYI all rides are open for the first time since they open couple of years ago!!!!

  • No, the ride was built by OD Hopkins, a perfectly safe company. More famous for log flume then coasters, but there coasters are perfectly safe.

  • I would want the fact that I built the Red Devil Cliff Hanger deleted. This ride did not work right from the beginning. Always on the news and always getting stuck and not working right.

  • What the hell do you mean by that? I told you. OD HOPKINS built this coaster! Not the employees at Ghost Town In The Sky! Its not always in the news, recently its got lots of media coverage from because of the financial difficulties the park has been experiencing. I encourage anyone reading this comment that can go to the park to go, financially it needs it.

  • Where you even living here when this coaster was first built?

I was there when it opened. They were originally going to call this the silver bullet. You could even see track that was laid that went no where oops boys. Also I was referring to when it was brand new? Hello a brand new coaster breaking down all the time. Imagine what the same coaster would be like 20 years down the road.

  • is this ride still closed?!

  • At last it is open! I rode this in the 90s when it was on its "last leg." They had wooden boxes in the front cars/seats to keep people from sitting there. It was deemed dangerous to do so. However, I took one ride down...felt as thought I was putting my life on the line...a bit of a rush...but only had the guts for once. Ghost Town was indeed a Ghost Town back then. I hope this breathes new life into this Maggie icon.

  • Very nice video, I cant wait to ride this coaster! =D

  • Good to see they got this coaster up and running. I don't think the park could survive long without it.

  • Looks fun.

  • Great video! I'm looking forward to getting out there, riding Cliffhanger, and checking out the park.

  • Interesting concept but just too short of a ride.A few more drops down into the trees would have been good.

  • Wrong, it was originally opened at Ghost Town in the Sky in '88 as the Red Devil, and was renamed the Cliffhanger sometime after 2006. The ride itself was never moved, it is in it's original spot. Between 2002 and 2008, the ride sat, unused. Yes, it was repainted & refurbished, and the train is new, built by Rotational Motion.

  • your right, I got it confused with another coaster called red devil, but it still isnt a new concept, because its just an old coaster with a new paint job and trains.

  • @SoCalCoaster521 yay for someone else who remembers it as the red devil. XD :D

  • Thanks for adding this video :D
