This is not a difficult game. The level 6 and 7 bosses are tough, true, but the rest are pushovers.

No, but a filled blaster gauge allows you to do the 3 combo punch with fire. It takes 5 bars from it, but if you play your cards right you can do several blaster punches in short order, provided you don't get knocked down.
