i feel like such a failure when i see stuff from way back in the day, when they had such high hopes for the future. If i could shoot lasers from my fists or fly a spaceship to jupiter, i would gladly, yet we're basically doing everything we did back then, just in a smaller, faster, portable way.

I purchased this when it came out, I remember being disappointed because it was nothing like either Street Fighter or Final Fight (arcade). NES looked like crap even compared to DOS games, you got used to it however. This in particular my brother liked playing, but for me it was hard as hell. Strider for NES was another Capcom letdown, but once you actually got past the horrid graphics, the story was great. The game itself was like Metroid because of the adventure element.

Heck i used to beat this game with no help gamegenie etc,just had a turbo joystick which helpped alot but damn its been almost 20 years when i first played this game. I was playing this and Ninja Gaiden 2 dark sword of chaos was being played at the same time if i remember this correctly.Sucks to be older would love to visit my old life back then and sit in front of my TV and play this again..even tho i still have this game still lol.

Actually you are incorrect. Street Fighter 2010 was made in 1990. The Original Street Fighter, then named Fighting Street was created in 1987. The Game is based on Ken Masters and him retiring from his fighting career after winning the "Street Fighter Circuit". He's suppose to be a scientist. So in short it is not "before" the Street fighter fighting games literally nor in games time line and it does have to do with Street fight to to it being a "futuristic plot for story development.

The Frustration makes you want to play even more cause you don't want to give up.

You go through a phase, the stage you die at and playing through over and over again, the skills you accomplished start to go away cause you r playing the same shit all over again. I got that alot with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 on Master Ninja Mode.

Besides that, I might try this game out.

Definitely a 10, but not because of a good and hard level design, but because of frustrating design, for example on the final level, the time-clock for the level(you die when it runs out) keeps ticking EVEN during unskippable cutscenes, which sucks.

if you are using firefox just download from google FIRENES. It is a firefox complement that has a lot of NES games and it loads from an outer database so its weight is 30 kb or so. You have to get JAVA in order to play it.
