can someone tell me the composer of this version? theres so many on youtube so ive had difficulty finding the verion WE are playing in band (which is this).
I LOVE this movie and I was so psyched to learn that we're playing this... I love sight-reading all the music because I remember the music from the movie:)
on offense I played this as i was percussion and your percussion cannot keep up in this peice, and it's fairy simple:) but great job:D Oh and we were 8th grade and seemed to keep a beat and stayed together better:/ But we had a fantastic teacher!
Where I live we start playing insturents in gr 9 (usually) I've been playing since grade 7, however we only have maybe 45 minutes of music class a week, and for some classes we just did theory/ history of music
for a 10th grade band that's horrible my schools medium band played this they did way better. you guys rushed almost the hole song, you missed a lot of rests too. great sound but crappy dynamics.
This is actually very well played the people who are like i played this in 7th grade dont realize that you played it heck a lot better than they can very well done
From 2:04 to 2:14 , did you guys do the harmony? Because there's this really cool harmony line (At least in flute 2) at that point, and I didn't hear it. :/
wow ! pretty awesome , i played this when i was in 5th grade ! I have to say , yoour band was way better than my crappy band !! dude , we were amitures !!
so did i dude! im in 7th grade and were doing pirates of the carribean! were doing pirates of the carribean, maelstrom, liberty bell, and ceremonium. then in the jazz band we the songs: Tequila and Brick House.
I played this in sixth grade as first chair clarinet. Probably one of the most fun songs you will ever get to play, guaranteed ... especially with all the crescendos, tempo changes, and sharp articulations.
A fairly good rendition of the Pirates of the Caribbean. a few off notes, and the tempo seemed a little slow, but all in all a well rounded performance. :]
I play oboe in this at school. We finished a concert with this piece a few weeks ago. Long story short, my mum wouldn't let me drive because my ears were ringing. :D
The symbol sounds loud and obtrusive in some bits. Or at least that's how it sounded to me.
The best piece we did in 8th grade was a medley of John Williams pieces (Olympic theme, Star Wars, Imperial March, the NBC theme, Indiana Jones, etc). I probably still have the sheet music somewhere.
im sorry but this is a little screwed up...there are parts where you guys rushed like crazy, others where the brass was behind, and you guys didn't follow the conductor very well..try working on that :)
At 3:55 there is some wrong articulation being played some trumpets. Because the 2 quarter notes are saposed to be sticcato, but some trumpet was playing first quarter note sticcato then the second note long. But still a great sound overall. ;)
im playing this and im in 7th were doing it for spring band concert.. its a movie theme..we have other movie soundtracks. =) yu guys sounded real good
thanks but i know for a fact this is an easy version. we played one that was harder. it was similar to this but it was a bit longer, higher and had this one part that would have happened around the 2:20-ish area that was like crazy!! haha but i'm not saying this group doesn't sound good, because they do.
They could do a better job watching the conductor, and I wish the low brass line had a little more volume and a better ear for tuning. Great sound in the high voices. I freaking love this vid. :D
One of the better performances I have seen or heard. As a trumpet player tho... you can tell who the leads are... they stand out... play very well where the rest seem to like... fake through it i guess. They seem like they play timid... i've played this song... you really don't need to. All in all... great job. Top trumpet players were excellent. The bottom section may of needed a little more practice. Great job.
you guys are pretty good, but at the same time i played it in 8th grade and we had just as good or better recording of ours , maybe you guys should work on some of the kinks still cuz theres a few i can simply here that shouldnt be heard
Wow...you guys are awesome compared to my school band. Well, of course, you guys are in 10th grade. So obviously, 10th grade is better 7th grade. We're still working on our song though, so who knows? The flute solo is awesome and I might get it!! Yaaay!!
