  • I luv how everyone who takes drugs thinks this is dumb! If you say tv dosent advertise tobacco you are wrong!!!! think of all those tv shows that have tobacco in them! That's advertising epcially smoking!!!!!

  • um this looks like surrogates. but i didnt see bruce willis so i guess this is the better version

  • Why are people complaining about tobacco companies? They are not allowed to advertise at all. Willing adults buy what they have to offer. They are not making anyone do anything against their will. They are not pushing their product to anyone, no ads, no television time, NOTHING. If minors get cigaretts then its the fault of whoever sold it to them. I find the sex products plastered all over the television far more disturbing not to mention all the antidepersents taking up air time.

  • This is just an informational ad. Truth is all about what commercials would be like if tobacco companies actually told the truth. I didn't know that smoking kills 1200 people a day, but now I do thanks to this ad. It's about spreading knowledge. It's not so much about getting people to quit, it's more aiming towards discouraging young people from starting.

  • omg. when the 1200 of the just fell, i was like "OMGGG!" powerful commercial.

  • What scares me the most is that my mom might be one of those 1200 one day.

  • @Cubtalia

My heart goes out to you and to her!

  • I don't tell you to smoke, don't tell me to quit. That means don't try to convince me in any way, shape, or form. I hope the words, "lost cause," hold some meaning for you.

  • @NinjaGhostScorpion

What you are saying could be interpreted to mean that paying my Social Security Disability check with the tax money imposed on your tobacco products over listening to what these ads have to say is the lessor of two evils! To each his or her own!

  • Why are all anti-smoking commercials so friggin' obnoxoius? I'm glad I used an e-cigarette to quit smoking. Now I no longer have to be preached to.

  • Im afraid...i wanna cry

  • hahahahah yeah! i knew it wuz him! at 00:36 tha dood on tha floor iz RAKAA IRISCIENCE of tha WORLD RENOUND WERLD FAMOUZ DILATED PEOPLES!!! thatz pretty dope!!!

  • because of the forced watching of the body

  • Short comments are forced.

  • I am in the US.

  • Where can I get a copy for a psa?

  • Where can I get a copy?

  • I think every smoker ought to go to the truth headquarters and light up on their front door

  • why? u crazy fuck

  • i hate Truth Productions and other anti-smokers, so fing stupid and they lie about as much as politicians. everyone i know agrees

fun thing is, most people i know(including me) does not smoke, never will and can't understand why people start, but we're no going to stop anyone

why because we're not retarded assholes

  • @PhauxTheFox Theyre not intended to force people to stop. Its just telling people the truth about smoking. If smokers feel like theyre making a mistake, they quit. Its all about choices.

  • Truth was badass back in the day.

  • I don't want to be mean but what if less people die... that wouldn't mean less food and fresh water for future generations?... maybe if we become more long-lived resources will get more scarce... even more than now... ironically maybe some people must die to let the human race prevail... The pain & agony of cancer and the burden of costs related to tobacco diseases on health systems are a different issue... but death itself??? I don't think so...

  • i agree with you. It's the same thing with war. I might not like it but without the wars that have happened the world would be over populated and our resouces might not even exist.

  • it's an army!!!

  • so cool

  • ive smoked yes its bad

i never really liked these commercials except this one.

and when people say stop these commercials. we can do what we want.

well some people die from second hand smoke too.

  • the people that say stop are the ones who smoke.

  • not true. i used to smoke but i love these commercials, and my mother didn't like them and she's never touched a cigarette in her life. she feels like these commercials blame the wrong people. stop hounding the companies and start hounding the ones keeping them in buisness. i knid of agree with her.

  • people should break in tabacco companies and bomb them

  • only if they start with your house first

  • I love this ad.....and the bravery it took by many people to do it!

Its time to stand up to B.S.....everywhere....

Thanks for posting this...looks like the tobacco companies have suppressed much of these kind of ads...

  • There's no such thing as bravery in numbers.

I'm not supporting the tobacco companies at all, but these types of extremist ads are only used in lieu of real education about the dangers of tobacco; they're using scare tactics rather than real education.

  • They "wake people up"....the first step in any "12 step" program, eh? Exiting denial. When i was a kid it was cool to smoke...no one thought a thing about it. Until, the surgeon general's warning was put on packages. It has to start somewhere....

    :-)

  • These old truth commercials are strangly disturbing but effective i think. Did anyone see the one with all the hospital beds?

  • Yes it's horrible how these companies kidnap people in the middle of the night, strap them down and force them to smoke until they die from it. :P

It's all about choices, you idiots. Especially in this day and age, when everyone is totally INFORMED on the dangers of smoking and the horrors of addiction, yet choose to start anyways. Everyone is responsible for their own actions, yet these proven fools want to blame everyone else for their own idiocy.

  • Oh yes. We all forgot about this. It's not like tobacco companies make cigarettes or anything. Oh no, its totally up to everyone to make their own cigs.

  • Oh yes, it's just terrible how the tobacco companies treat everyone like educated individuals who can make their own decisions, isn't it?? And how stores and markets hold passers-by at gunpoint and force them to buy their cigarettes?? Shocking.

  • But they can't treat ppl like educated individuals!

  • osomepossum, it's about freedom of choice. Everyone knows the risks of tobacco. Tobacco companies r givin smokers what they want - cigarettes. Just like McDonalds are giving people what they want - fast food.

300000 people die from obesity related illnesses a year, thats 822/day. How come truth doesn't go after fastfood companies? Because even though there is a high mortality rate society today accepts that being obsese is normal.

Smokers also pay for their health care through tobacco taxes.

  • Mcdonalds won't kill you, it will make you fat. Which could lead to death, but not nearly as directly as smoking addictive tar and poison.

  • 822 people die everyday from obesity related illness in the USA.

Obesity WILL lead to early death, transfats cause heart disease, cancer etc. It's no different to cigarettes. If you smoke a few ciggies every now and then you don't die, just like eating a few Big Macs won't kill you - it's about the quantity.

Just because a few dickheads don't pretend to drop dead infront of the McDonalds headquarters but decide to do it infront of the tobacco company doesn't mean fastfood is any safer.

  • Comment removed

  • eating fast food it tooons safer than smoking.

  • r u from the us?

  • Yes I am. I just do not like the fact that people think that we should be told how to live our lives just because someone else thinks it is bad for us. Besides it is nothing but propaganda anyway as justification to raise taxes on something so the government can get more money while saying it is punishing the undesirables. If it was as bad as they say it would be outlawed that simple

  • @Toobulations you stupid dumb, we live in a Society. are you familiar with this word?

  • If you guys like this commercial check out the truth's facebook group. You can view all of truth's current sunnyside commercials at a much higher quality.

  • I know this has nothing to do with the commercial, but did anyone else think to themselves "What if a car needed to cross threw that area?" Don't get me wrong this commercial is powerful, but it's just something that came to my mind.

  • They probably managed to get that area blocked off for this event. Either way, that's quite a lot of people they got to do this commerical, it is good too.

  • Well that sucks for them and thouse guys in the tobacoo getting rich off of thouse people

  • Amazing.. and true.
