well i love watching movies, i have a pretty good size 55'' just like that but i really dont see myself and many people also buying plasmas. them 3d's are comming out. im just waiting for the plasmas to go down in price just like how dvd players drasticaly went down in price.

samsung got better picture and color than sony. sony look washes out if you compare side by side. but if you watch a sony by it self. than it look really nice too.

i'm facing a delima, i want THE SAMSUNG 9000 tv but i'm not crazy about the crome finishing but i do like the screen on the remote , i prefer black for the finishing. the second choice is The new LG infinia tv's with skype and the wii style remote, it also has thin borders. I really love this TV. I cant really decide if I should get the 6 series or the 8 series. as far a visuals go is the difference between 120hz and 240hz really noticeable

@GS121086 240 hz all the way. best buy usually sets up tvs side by side playing same demo 1 at 120 and the other at 240. 120 looks like shit and fast panning looks so blurry it makes me dizzy.

@GS121086 my friedn go fro 240 herts the reason fot this is because when u look at a tv u alway want to have a sharper picture no blur effect on the tv with 240 herts ,so when alway looking at a tv alwahy go for the more herts AWAYS trust me i fucked up 3 years ago when i got my old samsung tv it was 60 herts and at the time there were just comeing out with 120 herts but 120 herts was realllly alot of money for me at the time ,know i ma looking in to buy the newer samsung led 8000 wiht 3d featur

@GS121086 i seen it with my own 2 eys its cool but to me its why overererer price too much cash for something that is not needed to me out of all the leds there makeing the best bang for the buck is the new 8000 hands down its got more contrast then all the other even the 9000 is less contrast then the 8000 is the 8000 has 8,000,000 to 1 while the 9000 has only 6,000,000 to 1 also the 8000 has that built in prescion srceen i for get what it is but it has to do wiht the screen it makes all

The TV is great man. I was thinking about purchasing a samsung 8000 series or higher (maybe 9000???) because these are the best HDTV's out there. Not to be mean or anything but your surround sound is way out of its league next to your tv. You can get high quality surround sound for $1500, and that would really boost your home theater.

well is not that expensive i believe right now is round $2900 the whole kit how i have it was $3800 plus bestbuy hooked me up with a 36 month no interest ;) that's why i have it :)
