But audio is an AC wave.. leds only allow current to pass one direction (good for DC, but on AC yous only get half the wave).

Also, you have a thing called impedance you have to worry about.. this is a good way to burn out the amp in your stereo

You could blow all those lights if you was to run enough voltage and current through them. It would be a little different being that would be alternating current coming from it too.
