  • So beautiful and sad. Ah...

  • I looked her up because someone told me I would like her. Personally, I don't care for her, but after reading some of these comments, I'm disappointed in people. Anyone who is able to become famous and has a fan following obviously has talent, even if it doesn't sound good to others ears. No, I don't like her style, but there are people who do, which says to me, obviously she has talent. That's how it is with all music. Don't waste energy on something if you don't like it. It's that simple. Damn

  • @Cowpwnz I have a friend who she and her friends are obsessed with her. I wanted to know what the hype was about, so I looked her up. I honestly don't like her music at all. But I can admit that her lyrics are definitely meaningful. She clearly can sing, but I just don't like her voice and how the music and her voice don't blend together. And reading these comments, and seeing what she's been through, I'm glad she's okay at the least. I may not be listening to her music, but I wish her the best.

  • I cried. It's... It's just so beautiful, and so sad. Breathtaking. I couldn't take my eyes of the screen, even when I wanted to blink.

  • I have never suffered from rape or anything like that and i have no idea how that must of felt and for those of you that have I wish i could take that away from you. But I can connect with mental illness for i have 3 and I always feel like at least one other person in this world understands how I feel when I listen to Emilie's songs. She is truly one of my hero's for managing to come out on top of all of that crap that happened to her. We love you Emilie!

  • i want to know what he tee shirt says, tea is something i cant figure it out, please help!

  • @vampireluver889 Tea is important! (:

  • @IlusLilla thanks so much! i was going to make a tee shirt that says cocky von murdertits then saw this shirt and i'm like OK I GOTTA KNOW WHAT THIS SAYS! lmao many thanks! <3!!

  • Why is nyan cat on the bar at the bottom of this video? O.O

  • @ChomoChomp DOUBLE CAT-POPTART-RAINBOW ALL TEH WAY! Oh, and Emilie Autumn

  • Haters of EA really, really, need to take a look at her history before making shallow judgements of her. It's amazing what she's lived through. Most others would have taken their life at this point :(

  • when i was raped when i was 5 i was determined to heal and be normal. I slept in my parents room for nearly two years though, on the floor. It helped a lot. Even though to this day they don't know, they helped me so much.. or at least my mom did. I never let it affect me too poorly, I always told myself that the reason it happened was so I could learn to be tough. And now, I'm tough. I have normal relationships and normal life :) I can overcome anything!

  • wow i can relate to so much of this i've been raped molested and locked up in mental institute an jail for shit i didn't do people are so inmature god!!!!

  • This is heartbreaking :'(

I just want to hug her and tell her that it'll never happen again as long as I'm living <3

  • Why the hell is there so much hate on this page? Stop taking things so seriously. If someone likes it, cool. If someone hates it, cool. Let it go.

  • i don't quite understand.. can someone tell me? O_O

  • @flclover4 When Emilie was 6 or 7 she was raped. Some years ago her father died from lung cancer.

  • @LoveGaaraVeryMuch i was too at 5 and i was raped by my father i knw exactly how it feels he's dead now though he got murdered....

  • @breezy4909 Oh I'm so sorry.

  • @LoveGaaraVeryMuch i was too at 5 and i was raped by my father i knw exactly how it feels he's dead now though he got murdered....

  • My god her voice is otherwordly in beauty. Im a bipolar to,

  • This made me cry so hard....touched me a lot! It was like she were talking to me. And when I did read some comments..wow. I wont ever say again "shit, nobody could ever understand me!"

  • For the longest time, i thought i was the only one who went through some of the stuff emilie has written about. It is nice to know with all the plague rats and some of the support groups i have joined i am not alone. Thank you all for helping me keep going.

  • Damn it, let the people post bullshit and stop reacting on it, it's just what theyy need... freakin attention ôo

i mean, he ust feels right if he's getting answers by halfabillion people for posting crap in the comments.

let them blame theirselves posting things like that, but just think: "I'll forgive him for being the childish ubermoron who hungers for attention he is and just ignore the bullshitteriffic mudcrap he's squealing around."

Anyways, like the Song, and i'm running out of Signs.

  • ...

  • What does her shirt say? Tea is what?

  • @Wolf2008lllll If I didn't give you my 250th thumb up my visit would have been useless ;]

  • i sang this last year for my talent show and then out of no where some random person got on stage and sang with me now were good friends. :) i love the beauty her songs hold with bits of truth :D

  • She's exquisite in her delivery!

  • This song reminds me of Sansa Stark from ASOIAF

  • Hmm... I thougth I loved Mad girl, but the acoustic version is SO much better.

  • Expressing.*

    Bollocks...

  • Reminds me of my friend camber. I wouldnt think she'd want me to explain tho... =\

  • Who cares if she complains? I didn't know she made these songs to please you, not express herself ^_^

  • I made a website for all plague rats of EA. At the bottom of the home, rules, and game page is a list of seven emilie autumn songs that you can play on there and I'm looking for more. its ea3plague0rats6.webs.com

    please become a member ^.^

  • This for some reason... reminds me of Sucker Punch

  • @TheWhitewolf789 thats an amzing movie ^.^ mite be because they used the song alseep which ea has covered when babydoll is crying in the bathroom

  • @Pikaachu13 LUCKY!!!!!!!!! MY stupid school is too happy for that... and its too long...

  • @pacXmanXizMINE Correction: 29 people aren't mad enough ;)

  • reminds me of alice in wonderland

  • Emilie should make a perfume called "Mad Girl." I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

  • @TehFinalFantasygurl You and me and tammer400 and all the rest of her fans.

  • @TehFinalFantasygurl She should also make one called "Gothic Lolita"

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song! And I relate to it sooo well. You tell people to stop hurting you, but they don't listen and keep doing it and doing it until finally, you snap and they all call you mad.

One part I don't quite understand though: What does she mean by "How did your father die? Was he a good man? Maybe someday you'll know.

  • @nykkiL101 It's based on the character Ophelia from Shakespeare's "Hamlet".

  • I like this but, I think the acoustic version it's better :)

  • the psychiatric hospital i was placed in shut down 7 months later for various reasons..i so connect

  • Pussycat dolls featured next to Ms Autumn? Please...

  • Still I fly... still I fall...

  • I just love this fucking song...

  • I suggest opening another tab, going to YouTube, and then search "Rainy Mood". Click the first video press play and play at the same time as this. Makes it so much more sorrowful. ;-;

  • @xXprettyxkittyXx omg it did ;___;

  • @xXprettyxkittyXx your good o.o

  • I like this song, but I have no idea what it's about :)

  • @TheMinime56 It's like a girl who's slightly unstable : How did your father die? Most princesses in fairty-tales lost their fathers, how did the prince say he loved you? I see it as a way of the girl was taken by a man and saw him as her Prince Charming though he may have ended up like a terrible man and people never left her alone : Wouldn't they stop when you asked them to leave you alone? They drove her to madness from all her problems. I hear it's about Ophelia from a Shakespeare play

  • @TheMinime56 Its either about Ophelia from Hamlet or Herself.

  • I haven't listened to this song in such a long time. probably because it makes me sad....

  • This, in my eyes is a really sweet, reunion-like song :)

  • love her shirt in this :D

  • Em is both beautifully sad and sadly beautiful. xx

  • I love her outfit so much,i wish i could buy and wear tht.WE LUV U EMILIE AUTUMN!!!!

  • must ask, did her father die? makes the connection with the music mean more to me...

  • @failingthenight No but I read she doesn't have any close relation to her father.

  • @failingthenight yes he died of lung cancer in 2004

  • @failingthenight Yes, he did, a few years ago I think. On the forum for her website she said they weren't very close.

  • I can't help but cry when I hear this song...it's so beautiful but so sad.

  • Love this song.

  • What does her shirt say tea is......? and i love this song!

  • @thewarriorcatsrock important :)

  • @MeeSheeLaa Her shirt tells the truth

  • @alicialerche I agree!

  • Is this one too based on Ophelia's life? cause it makes so much sense ... xD

  • this one of her oldest songs besides 'Shallot'. what I'd give to met her.

  • :) its like i've told Emilie all my stories and secrets and she turned them into songs.

Any who what a beautiful song, I always cry though every time she sings this live. <3

  • @raiinbowjunkiie Seriously? I never imagined all of that to happen to her... God, I'd sacrifice my life and make it my job to make her happy every day until the end of her days.

  • @raiinbowjunkiie Seriously? I never imagined all of that to happen to her... God, I'd sacrifice my life and make it my job to make her happy every day until the end of her days.

  • @raiinbowjunkiie

Sardonic: Scornful laughter, according to the dictionary. Hmm... there's another meaning isn't there lol

  • @raiinbowjunkiie Seriously people... One comment and you all got totally crazy. I kept receiving the notifications about your replies but I never took the time to read them, since I pretty much automatically delete most of the emails sent by Youtube. Today I decided to see what all these Emilie Autumn replies were about, I didn't even remember what I wrote when I came back here a couple of minutes ago.

  • @raiinbowjunkiie So By the time I read your comments I even thought I must've wrote the ugliest line in youtube history.... When I look for it and see it again, I recognized how senseless my comment actually was... You all made a picture of what I was, am, or could be, according to what you think it's best... Better said, according to what would be good to complain about. And then again you all come and with your comments do exactly the same thing that bothered you so much.

  • @raiinbowjunkiie The same way someone can make bad music without no one saying anything, the same way I think someone can say whatever the hell they want about it... You all talk so much about self expression, then again know shit about it. This shall serve me as a reminder, to never get down to such a level to be even replying to your comments. Whatever, I wish you all a nice life, and if it helps in anything, I have a little advice: Do NOT take the internet so seriously. 4 ur Own Good.

  • @beAfraidFreak Some people simply get sensative when it comes to people bashing an artist like Emilie Autumn. But, even still, don't act like it's stooping down a level to defend your case. Unfortunatley the thing that happens alot on the comment pages is one person gets offended because 1) they are misunderstanding someone 2) someone posted a bashing comment about something on a video that supported it, usually, looking for trouble. Then sensless insults are thrown out and it doesnt go anywhere

  • @beAfraidFreak She has fucking go reason too and it's no "whining" and I bet you can't sing better.

  • @beAfraidFreak your a very sad little person. You know this right?

  • @beAfraidFreak It's called expression oneself through music, not complaining. Real music actually requires emotion, unlike the generic bullshit in the top 40. Read a little bit about Miss Autumn's history as well, and then pass judgement.

  • @beAfraidFreak Do you ever stop whining?

  • @beAfraidFreak omfg you don't know how to listen to the crappy shit you like and leave the plaque rats alone! Seriously until you can tell me you have suffered through rape molestation as a child and mental issues and being locked up against your will for the sins others did TO YOU! Then fuck off you don't know shit. It's artistic expression moron!

  • @beAfraidFreak i agree with TearisShatteredMoon! get a life! if you dont enjoy her amazing talents, then u dont have to listen to them. I wish ppl like you would stop bashing on other ppl like Emilie's problems. maybe we need to lock YOU up in a cell for years and see how you would like it!!! so FOFF and maybe get off the computer once in a lifetime, i hardly think they let u use them in asylums.

  • @KenzieRose48 thank you!

  • @TearisShatteredMoon hey everyone is picking on beAfraidFreak, but I can't find here what she or he said could you (or someone) PLEASE tell me whats going on? D:

  • @beAfraidFreak

Wow, you're one to talk. Her music is amazing, and she's taking the pain she has suffered and turning it into art. Yes, music is art too. Had to clarify because you obviously don't have that much brainpower. Why would you come on her videos just to post stupid comments that make people hate you? ObviTroll is obvious.

  • @beAfraidFreak That whining, as you call it, is more commonly referred to as singing.

  • @beAfraidFreak

You are a sad little person who thinks everyone in the world should be more like you, and you've probably never really been judged much, do you know how true pain feels, or true judgement. Being called ANYTHING can mentally harm someone so badly until their on the brink of madness.

    Hate on your own channel.

    Kay, thanks, bye.

  • @Alice31497 Wrong. I'm sane and I clicked the like button.

  • I love all her works in a general, adoring manner any Plague Rat/muffin would, but time and time again my heart returns to this one, both for the lyrics and the meaning of said lyrics. EA manages to put great beauty and great sadness into a single song, into a single note. It's astounding.

  • This is such a sympathetic and empathetic song. I never knew

  • This song makes me cry :,)

  • I made an account just to comment on this song. It's so beautiful. I can listen to it on repeat for hours, for days. Who else finds that they relate to this song? It's nice to know that you're not alone in the madness. Plague rat forever!

  • @DarkenedAngel42 trust me... its not fun...

  • Being sane is so overrated. >:3

  • @DuskEverheart Emilie wasn't raped?

  • @NaziDolphin yes she was look it up :)

  • @NaziDolphin Emilie was raped, she has stated so herself in various interviews and her book, but she doesn't go into any more detail than the fact it is a fact really...which is understandable.

  • 27 people got so mad that there is no LOVE button that they went into deep depression and clicked dislike

  • i lovah this so much ya knows i love her and you for reuniting me with my love i think im kinda out of it so yah i guess this is the unicorn that im talking to about the leprigon and the dolphin and stuff like tigers talk about apple and irds about walking with butterflys

  • as my mother once told me..what one may see insanity another may just see a difference it is all a matter of perspective. she is one of the only people who does not believe im insane. she actually understand the my apearant maddness. man i love this song so much

  • And this was the only song that I listened to when I was told I was going into an asylum.

    Ironic really

    Oh well

The best people are at least half mad :)

  • 27 people are mad. lol

  • @cudambercam13 You say that as if being mad is a bad thing.

  • 27 people are mad. lol

  • she is wonderful

  • This song is so beautiful... it makes me want to cry<3

  • There is probably a few types of Emilie fans.

1.) The kind that just stumbles on Opheliac, and enjoys it.

2.)The kind that hears a songs here and there,

3.) The kind that is Emilie fan, that loves all her musical work,

4.) And then there is the kind that went as far as buying the book, every album, and everything else they could.

    <3

  • @MissSterotyped I would buy everything if I wasn't so poor. haha So for now I'm stuck at fan level 3 :/

  • @OKashli Haha, Is perfectly fine.

All I own is a out fit sorta like hers that I hand made, and her book. Haha.

  • @OKashli Haha, Is perfectly fine.

All I own is a out fit sorta like hers( With the stocking and bleeding heart) that I hand made, and her book. Haha.

  • I find myself singing this when I'm working or just out and about. I get some odd looks.

  • she has a great voice, does she write her own songs?

  • @shinegrove She writes all of her music, even the instruments, and she does all the vocals and instrument all by herself.

  • @shinegrove like @BrooketChick said yes she writes everything...well unless she does Cover Music...cause of coarse thats just a Remake but she only made like...i think 5

  • @zanewoody Yeah and when she did the acoustic version of The Art of Suicide, she didn't play the guitar in that.

  • @shinegrove you cannot truly find art like this unless it comes from the source.

  • In every song, it's as if she's singing just to me.

    Beauty.

  • just saw her live!! beyond amazing!

  • My friend in this world is a bottle of nothing.

Still I fly, still I fall...

In all your fairy tales, how did the Prince say he loved you?

Those have to be my favourite lines from the song.

    .

  • my first reaction when this part "How did your father die, was he a good man" came was like wtf how did u know :D:D hahaha ima fucking retard

  • Comment removed

  • This is a verry beautiful song. Emilie autumn is so Talented

  • I want to like Emilie Autumn, but I just can't :c

  • @Bombshellbinder She'll grow on you. At first, I didn't like her voice too much because I'm used to liking more high-pitched singing voices [but I always thought her lyrics were brilliant.] However, the more I listened to her, the more her voice grew on me, and now I absolutely love her. There's definitely something to be appreciated in her material--something which most other singers desperately lack.

  • @Bombshellbinder you will <3

  • Emilie and I have so much in common... It's amazing...

    .Rape

    .Mental Hospital

    .Bipolar

    .Everything else...

  • @bobobunnygirl she was raped?

  • @itsAthong123 she had an abortion too

  • @BrooketChick Siii ella hiso un haborto despus de un intento de suicido tuvo k ir al manicomio

  • @bobobunnygirl r u stalking her? wow i just realized something i also have so much in common with her!!

  • @bobobunnygirl she was raped?

  • @jessica56786789

    Yes she was

  • Oh how the prince said he loved me... Oh my fairy tales... Mad girls, take comfort in your madness! We are not alone.

  • @SirenSerenade01 sorry I cant agree with you and those 152 people, have you listened the the song 'my fairweather friend'? I dont like your comment, Im sorry.

  • This is so me.

  • This woman has no bad songs.

  • I think it's about herself

  • I absolutely used to hate tea, but then I heard of Emilie Autumn, and now I absolutely love it! :D

  • i love how emilie's songs can describe me completely :)

  • I simply love her work. She is so inspiring! She has covered all the places other artist haven't. She makes all the words I and so other people out there found hard to say into music. And when you can't explain the words, you should just sing them out like Emilie does. And last but not least, Tea is important!

  • @Harajukugirl9

Well, she got many of her lyrics from Shakespeare. Then again, I like his works, and her voice is beautiful. I can live with her using some of his words.

  • @Harajukugirl9 fucking indeed! especially the tea :P

  • the people who disliked this photo have no life.... have a heart people!! beautiful, just beautiful. this song gives strength, when other things dont. listen to the words.. the words of a genious. thank you emilie for all of your inspiring work, because, i know youve inspired me, and many more people. like if you agree

  • Thank You

  • 27 people are incredibly stupid.

She's sooooo awesome :D Although I wonder why if this is one of the first songs she ever wrote it was put on one of her more recent EP/ albums. Especially one as beautiful as this. :) <3

  • 27 people don't think tea is important.

  • I was listening to this the other day, and it suddenly occured to me that this song could be about Hamlet's Ophelia. Have I really been so ignorant for all this time?!

The parts about her father (Polonius) dying, and the Prince (Hamlet) speaking of (false) love just suddenly erupted in my mind and it all started to make sense.

Of course, no matter how you interpret the song, it is still wonderfully beautiful. I did always wonder though where the inspiration for the lyrics came from!

  • @MagicSomething That could be true. ") I've heard that it was about her rape, though. :/ But... no matter what it's about it's lovely.

  • this song is very deep. I'm thankful for emilie's music. she puts things in songs about feelings and experiences that I thought only I felt. I feel much less alone with her music.

  • Tea is comfort

  • Am I the only one who envisions Silent Hill [movie, not game] when I hear this song? It just sounds to me a type of song she'd sing to reach to Alessa...
