  • Listening to that song I began to cry first time in that concert. Barcelona 21/04/2007

  • shut up and sing

  • Un orgasmo para los oidos, para la vista y para nuestro reproductor ....................... de música

  • ...there is nothing wrong with you Roger, that's called empathy... and the world could use a lot more of it.

  • There's a good reason this video has 0 dislikes...

  • I live in israel, i am jewish, i totaly agree with the lyrics, but i still thing Waters is a doucebag.

  • Lebanon is a great country, it has all kinds of religions. I, myself, am Christian. when u see lebanon or anything ragarding the middle east on the TV u always see terrorism. but this is not true. Lebanon is not regarded as an arab country. we are very open minded people. Lebanon is the meeting place of all the world's cultures.

  • @JKShred

"Lebanon is not regarded as an arab country"

    So what are they ?

  • @spinspermy we are more open minded and educated than the arabs ;) , that's what i mean

  • @JKShred

    Im Lebanese, and Christian aswell.

Wake up, we are an Arab country; dont deny your roots.

You should be proud mate, dont let the Western Media and belief(s) tell you otherwise

  • @karimzo21 fuck this is shit. if u wanna go to ur roots, u actually are phoenician. research abel ma te7ke.

  • @karimzo21 well said karmin,im from the north of ireland & the western media only reports what it want, its not to fast to report the women, children & innocent men that they kill

  • Will keep commenting on this because we Americans have been tainted with misinformation regarding Muslims and what they stand for. I as a Christian, please realize there are extremist in in every religion. What it will take is education on everyones part. Do not be quick to judge. George had his own agenda, and it hurt a lot of innocents.LIVE, LOVE AND LEARN....

  • Clint? You're the best friend I ever had. Thanks for showing me everything man. Sharing. I don't know where I'd be without you. It sucks I live so far away now. But you're like the brother I never had. I don't know how I could ever thank you. I hope we are friends for life.

  • After commenting on this clip by Roger Waters, I realized I had incorrectly called him John. Sorry for that but I feel the rest of what I said was correct. We were never given the whole picture, and other countries are reporting exactly what is going on.If we had the correct information we would never have let George use the situation for his own personal agenda. The women and children starving or killed did not have to happen. Again, "Three Cups of Tea" by Greg Mortenson tells the real deal.

  • I am just now getting it! Sad to say that but God Bless John Waters and his take on this situation. We were only given one side of the story and I posted this in the wrong place. I am not Muslim. but the news has slanted it to be a crime. We need to check ourselves because indiscriminately dropping bombs has hurt women, children and people who are not guilty of anything except trying to survive. Please read "Three cup of Tea" then tell me who is the enemy ?

  • I had the pleasure of seeing Roger in this tour back in '07...It was such an unforgettable experience...i hadn't heard this song before, then he started playing it & i started crying, the way he explained it was so moving & sad, how people who had basically nothing were so kind to him...

  • nio mames, esa rola me hace lloirar siempre...

  • how is the line "everytime a smart bomb does its sums and gets it wrong, someone else's child dies and equities in defence rise" not consider, like the greatest line in music history.... how he came up with that I don't know..greatest lyricist of all-time in my opinion...... But for whatever reason, people prefer lyrics like "p-p-p-p-poker face"

  • rock on ...roger waters...lyrically nobody beats u...not even come close to you

  • @Mahtabmu I would say Ray Davies beats him

  • You've made me cry. We're all human children of God, Allah, Yahweah, and I do not, never will understand the wars we wage against each other.

  • Great Video!

  • Great guitar by Andy Fairweather Low

  • Yes.......Can still here those notes resinating around the Rod Laver aren in Melbourne........Great Show...

Roger tells it as it is!

  • religion is evil period, it has brought this world nothing but war, hate, and racial fractioning. wise up, there is no santa clause in the sky, grow up

  • The invasion of Lebanon could not have happened if The US and GB was against it, they are the main suppliers of weapon to Israel...this is what the song is about.

and George in this song is George Bush.....The christians is blind to every war crime the Israelis do...for they are "God's chosen people"...........

  • In 2006 The Israeli "defence" Forces invaded Lebanon and Beiruth, and they used Hizbollah's kidnapping of 2 israeli soldiers as the official excuse to invade,. Now we know that the invasion was planned long before the kidnapping...the reason to invade was to secure water supplies from Litani River, the groundwater level in Israel is very low...so religion is not an issue here!! Only simple stealing!!

  • roger waters basicly tears the americans apart in this song, i think this song is great, if you listen to the words it is true about what he is trying to get across, great video

  • He isn't to kind to the English either buddy. Remember your government was side by side in everything that happened. And it was the English who stole the land from the Palestinians. If you want to say Americans are guilty thats fine and true, but the British are far from innocent. It is just easier to blame the US

  • Thanks a lot for posting this! You are great.

  • Such an amazing and heartfelt song

  • ****ing incredible. It seems to be missing the "Wait, am I eating her food?" moment, though.

  • Can't you read?

"Reconstruction of the visuals during the song Leaving Beirut by Roger Waters' during his current Dark Side of the Moon tour. Based upon the original sketches by Bill Sienkiewicz"

  • thankyou for putting this on youtube. i was at the concerts but couldnt read all of the visuals. it was great to see. thankyou again for taking your time putting this up. awsome, thumbs way up high!!!!

  • This song is an anti-war landmark. Fabulous as always by the real Pink himself. Peace.

  • Rog' is god!

  • Just as i remeber it at Roskildefestival! - This song made me cry the first time i heard it... Fills me with both sadness and anger.

  • thanks!!!

  • Great recreation!

  • The drug war is lost, it should have never started, Reagan was an idiot. Roger Shares that view. Just listen to The Final Cut (The Fletcher Memorial Home is the song).

  • George. is George Bush. the president of the United States...

    pitiful

  • funny thing is......we're all worried about beating the Terroist up...but nobody...including O and Mc....care about more lives that are lost everyday in the drug ring that outnumber the bodies lost in the Real War. How pathetic it is to worry about fighting a good fight....but this Administration sucks when it comes to fighting wars here at home.......why.

  • i dont know why you got thumbs down on this... but you're right lol...

  • Ah yes... I've already known what and where is Lebanon... I'm not from England (or other country where people speak in english) so forgive me. I'm from Poland XD. But did I guess that George is the first name of Waters?

  • Rogers full name is George Roger Waters, but he abandoned the George early in his life.

  • I saw the show live from Beirut, Lebanon!

    Nice Vid! !10x

  • Jesus, man. "Who's George?"

Where the hell you been these past eight years -- in a cave?

No offense, but... if you don't know what/where Lebanon is, nobdy here can help you. Look it up in an atlas.

  • George = George W. Bush, president of the United States of America

The official language in Lebanon is Arabic, although France is spoken by a large part of the population.

    I love this song.

  • Man Lebanon is a counrty... Beirut is its capitol.. It's a really beatiful country and YES they do speak french over there. Primary is Arabic, French and english. The whole world is getting ignorant...

  • getting ignorant? i think you are wrong my friend the world always was..

  • I don't care what popular opinion says, compare gold like this with the stuff Gilmour and them were doing on the Division Bell, and it's clear he made the right choice to bail.
