This is a good version. I've heard Rudy Vallee and Al Bowlly's renditions and this is equivalent to them. Al Bowlly is, in my opinion, the grreatest singer who ever lived, so to say what I've just said is a great tribute to Sam Browne.
@sbd650 - yes - this is Sam Browne doing the vocals on this great track. He has such a distinctive voice. And as for the arrangement - to me this is better than the Ray Noble / Al Bowlly version.
Ammy just having moved over from HMV was billed on the premium 2/6 Brunswick label before he he was billed on the standard 1/6 blue label Decca.
