I always have loved the old songs about Martha White products. We still buy them today and have for all those years. They really got their money's worth in advertising off of the Grand Old Opry. RN
I remember about to crap in my pants when my parents and I were at the Opry and I was terribly disappointed Flatt & Scruggs was not on it that night--at least according to the printed program. But then T Tommy Cutrer said, "And now it's time for Martha White's big Grand Ole Opry," the fiddle started playing, the "big red curtain" opened up and there they were, my heroes, Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs and all the Foggy Mountain Boys.
Ernest Tubb, my other hero, was on Jefferson Island's portion!
God bless Martha White for sponsorship of Rhonda Vincent and The Rage. Of course, she is a real class act and such a talant, what a voice.
