My daughter Krissi sang this song at the South Dakota solo/ensemble contest and received a superior plus as a 9th grader. While preparing, she listened to your video over and over again. We are total fans of Whitney!!!

It's usually difficult to find a nice blend between a musical theatre sound and a classical sound and I think that this girl is definitely on the right track; good teacher, good instrument, nice performance. Pieces like this and Magda's aria are the hardest to stay focused and engaged during, so great job. Good luck in everything you do!!!!

Great performance. The only thing I wish was different is the piano lid. I'm sure she could have performed with it at half-stick. However, like it's been said, wonderful job on an often butchered piece.

I think the name of the song is "Monica's Waltz" or it's from "Monica's Waltz." This is my daughter, she is 19. This was her first Classical performance ever. She is a Musical Theatre major. Thanks so much for your encouraging comments! Are you a Music Teacher?
