Also, music gets categorized for the same reason literature, artwork, and movies do. It's so people can have an easier time finding different music they may like. It's an argument that always comes up, but music will always be labelled. Regardless of how stupid you think it is.

The reason Nick left is cos the band as a whole wanted to go heavier (which they've done on "Lividity") and Nick couldn't scream anymore and didn't want to scream anyways...also he didn't want to hold them back so stepped aside and let them find Jason to take his place

yeah that song was pretty gritty. I'm happy to see it dies today make the transition into a more thrashier sound. Usually bands go the opposite way. if you think about it, there's success only in two kinds of metal, melodic and heavy. there's really no room to grow in between. trivium made the crusade that was supposed to be fun and catch a broader audience, but they made shogun which is much heavier and has become a bigger success.
