  • there is this video about civil rights movements in britain in the 1960's. it has gimme shelter by the rolling stones playing in the background. i saw it like 3 weeks ago and cant find it. if anybody knows what im talkin about send me the vid please

  • Because they are too busy shooting, stabbing, raping and robbing other people on the inner city streets of this country.

  • How would we feel if our vote was taken away in the next election?

  • I last voted when I was 18, thinking it gave me a say. I quickly realised I was wrong. Voting is a symbolic gesture. Putting your X in the box is akin to saying, "I hereby give you my power to use in any way you see fit (including against me), without consulting me, or caring how I feel about your actions. The purpose of politics is not to empower the people, but to disempower us. Those who vote just haven't woken up to the illusion yet. But give them time - their backs are close to the wall.

  • @Nzingha8 The saddest thing is that most black people think voting consists only of putting an X on a piece of paper, standing back and watching the display like some kind of firework. Voting is a science that most of us just don't get. It involves a 365 day a year struggle consisting of strategising, lobbying, checking and chasing up. You've got to know what you want, and how to get it, and be prepared to go for it. If not, then you've played yourself, not the system!

  • Black vote ??......Yuz kiddin wiz us, wot ve fuk......get outta here Motherfucker wez dont need no whiteys vote!!.......Do wez get free chiken ??

  • UK will be a black nation, so they better start voting now.

  • I'm laughing at all those Black people that voted Lib Dem, only to see their voters handed to the racist Conservative party!! LOL Ensuring another generation of potential votes are dissuaded from ever participating again! As for voting Labour... well the educated among us did that only to have Tony Blair stick his tongue up G Bush's asshole & prosecute an illegal foreign war against a nation of other brown people!! LOL

Why SHOULD black people vote is the real question!!!!!!

  • @debatethecause Voting is only for the doers of this world, those prepared to stand and fight, even when the stats are against the odds. Someone has to win the election, and someone has to lose. The real losers are those who can only carp from the sidelines... those who only know how to complain, and yet expect to share in all the benefits of those who did vote.

  • @jetblakink ...an example in the UK please....? Just one advocating your DOER principle. Outline some benefits for me as I have ALWAYS voted and am wondering which planet you descended from. When we are ready to make things change it will happen like it has always happened in the UK. In that language we are forced to speak to be heard. The younger unlearned in the community will seek to join the conservatives or Lib Dems only to watch things remain the same. Labour the least of 3 evils.

  • @debatethecause It is the politician's job to highlight the benefits, not mine. You obviously thought you were voting for something or someone before you forgot what that "something" was. For me, voting is not about ticking a box every 4 years, it is a 365.25 a-day way of life, that must extend through our actions... So you may have thought that you were voting... I think you may have been deceived!

  • @jetblakink LOL weak

  • @debatethecause well that's an intelligent response... not!

  • general jasper luvs honeyglasin, i want to honeyglase mrs jasper's sexy mango.

  • What the fuck. Why don't black people vote? This is stereotypical bullshit.

  • The game is rigged people wake up

  • is there racism in the UK?

I thought there was no racism in the UK.

There were never black slaves in the UK, right?

  • @athono

no course there is, obviously not as bad as parts of the states but its still definitely around amongst some people, just look at the BNP

  • they do fucking vote.something need to be addressed in media:black racist afro nazis.kick racism out

  • Bring back hanging: Vote Hung!

  • Also, I can see how a 'black manifesto' would be considered patronising by the very people it was designed to engage!

  • They do vote and usually for the wrong people the CONSERVATIVES.

I'm glad they don't all vote.

  • @MultiJjjk show a little restraint will you.... simple being

  • @BlightyRhyma lee jasper loves honeyglasin pakis

  • black people don't vote cos they're all thick and they can't spell the word X. lee jasper is really general jasper and he is a serial honeyglaser. watch out the icha, mrs honeyglase could be next.

  • @MultiJjjk It is better to be considered a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt, as you've just done. Well done dickhead.

  • Many groups of people do not vote. This disgusting obsession with state multiculturalism and targeting an individual group to encourage them to vote is pathetic and offensive.

  • @TheBritishWatcher

I disagree actually, I do feel it's important for this country and democracy as a whole to have participation from as much of the electorate as possible. Apathy in specific groups (geographical/racial/economical) is awful. This country has about 1.5 million black people, if (in general) they're not voting then this is a serious question!

  • Millions do not vote in this country, we should be ensuring everyone gets out and votes not targeting specific communities, saying "More blacks must vote", "more young must vote" etc

It is the exact same problem when parties launch a "Black manifesto" Such things are deeply offensive. Every one is British and should be treated the same. We all know that a party wouldnt launch a manifesto for "white working class men". So why is the opposite acceptable? We must stop this political correctness

  • @TheBritishWatcher

I do agree with you that there are lots of people in Britain who dont vote and yes of course we should try and get everyone out voting tomorrow, however, the most effective communication is that which is targetted directly at it's audience. By engaging with individual groups (the young/black people etc...) and exchanging dialogue, it allows us to get these people re-engaged in order to get them out voting.

  • We live in a society where we must be blind to race. Some one being black or white should make no difference at all, this sort of thing simply creates more racism because it leads to white people feeling they are being ignored and non whites get special treatment

There are black conservatives, black liberals and black labour voters. Young people have similar concerns like tuition fees, old people pensions. I do not accept that you could say the same for black people, or asian people today

  • @TheBritishWatcher how can you "ignore race" when racism still exists? your post sounds like something a racist would say.

  • A racist is not someone who is colour blind. So i dont see how ignoring peoples colour is something a racist would say.

  • @TheBritishWatcher plenty of black racists out there mugging white people
