I dont undestand why the motor is at fault. I am putting it on my MT and heard mixed reviews. I am not sure why putting a higher kv with lower gear ratio is better than stock 3500kv with 13t. I will have to work out what head speed i would get. I am guessing 3000 on the turnigy. Does your esc gets hot with 11t and the e500 40 amp std. That was dangerous though looking at it. wood? unless its due to finances I can't understand why you would keep those on. But nice flight

What pinion were you running? I'm running a 12T with a 30C pack, while I'm not anywhere near a 3D pilot, I can punch the collective all day without any bogging at 75%. If I run it up to 100% for some reason the head starts bogging.

12t. Maybe it because of wood blades,but even if,I will never again put this motor on my heli :)

Non ,cet moteur est une grosse merde! Litteralement. Il ne supporte pas les 'punch' du pitch et il perd les RPM tres vite. J'avais l'habitude de mon scorpion (475W,Turnigy a que 200) qui supporte ca sans probleme et j'ai cru que le e500 le supportera aussi... J'ai voulu faire un piro flip sur le dos mais les RPMs ont baisses et la queue a lachee ....
