  • how can i help???

  • At the time, this was true but now, most definitely not.

  • Propaganda sure has evolved over the years. Back then it was slogans, in your face symbols, posters, and enemies with exaggerated features.

Nowadays propaganda is spread as headlines by the mainstream media, subliminal ads and music etc, well hidden symbols, conditioning, predictive programming, social engineering as an instrument of propaganda when an agenda is wrapped in normal human concern of good intention, or appeal to fear or authority or inadequacy or an omnipresent threat.

  • we still have propaganda, every country with oil seems to have WMDs these days

  • I wonder what kind of propaganda will they when it's china we are aiming at?? Don't forget to pay your tithe.

  • Now taxes are to fund the street cameras, the swat teams, Internet censorship, tapping our e-mails, phone calls, and text messages, build FEMA "refugee" camps, mainstream propaganda telling you to spy on your neighbor, CIA mind control, FBI stings on Amish selling whole milk (look it up), public school indoctrination.

YES!!! PAY YOUR TAXES TO FORGE THE CHAINS OF THE POLICE STATE!!!

  • Taxes collected from Income taxe's are not used for Military means, they only go to paying off the debt. Corporate income taxe's are used for fighting wars. TRUTH!

  • all I have to pay is inheritence tax, income tax, fuel tax, landfill tax, carbon tax, value added tax, council tax, air passenger tax, beer and cider tax, road tax, national insurance and insurance premium tax and look what I can get out of it! a war in iran and policeman that let murders go, but chase me for months about a parking fine.

  • Taxes!! To pay for this propaganda to get you to pay more taxes!!

  • now we would call that cartoon socialist gay propaganda XD

  • you now... this video makes it sound like allied forces always win. Witch is not the case. ? But this is a good video other then that.

  • Propaganda sucks.

  • Great, now I have an image of Donald duck covertly masturbating in a theatre with live nude ducks.

    Thanks, propaganda.

  • Beware the Military Industrial Complex!!!

  • WAR IS A BUSINESS. it's not suppose to end. Get it

  • Interesting that bush used the phrase Axis (axis of evil) as it is used in this propaganda cartoon. 'Are you going to help the axis? Or save for taxes? Lol hey Americans you ever feel like your being led up the garden path? Your government takes your money and spends it on their war. Propaganda then propaganda now!

  • @SquidgyMcGee Why do you default to think that people are that stupid and simple, when it is actually you thinking narrowly and bigotedly.

  • @0IIIIII I don't think people are stupid and simple. So i'm not sure why your saying this please explain yourself better. I think you have misunderstood me, I'm for peace ok. I do think that some people are greedy and malicious in the U.S. government. I also think that a lot of U.S citizens are being misled by them. seriously the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are illegal wars. They are war crimes ps. Yes i'm white yes i am and Allied forces citizen. Yes i think think this needs to be said!

  • @SquidgyMcGee alright, but people aren't so easily tricked, most of the people understand and understood that it was a hoax, but most people aren't in the military, and the message in this video does not apply today, because the US is not in total war like it was in World War II, portrayed in this video. This video was banned anyway from what I understand because it sent a bad message about the economy. Also Kim Jong Il is dead which pleases me.

  • @0IIIIII i think we are working of the same page here OIIIIII honestly i got one thing to say. its very forward and a little deranged..... I LIKE YOU :0

  • If we had this video in 2001 the U.S. would not be in debt. Never before has the U.S. LOWER taxes in the middle in a war.

  • Vote Ron Paul to end the income tax. It's a contradiction of the

Constitution, you have a right to your life, liberty, and property. Your income is your property

  • damn Wildro Wilson!!!!!!!!!!!!! (the president who made income tax and to get rid of all debt at the time and it did but he was also the reason why we have very big problems with taxes)I respect him and he was a great leader to a once ideal party

  • I used to watch this as a really little kid (like five) and I remember that I never really understood what it was about but I did understand that the Scottish duck (the thrifty) was supposed to be the "good guy" (for a time I was also under the impression that if you put money in your pockets they would start burning). Despite that personification I still didn't like the scenes when the axis was shot down and narrator seamed to LIKE it; then at the end I would feel better b/c of the song/colors.

  • Wait, it this real?

  • OMG

  • WOW!

  • "War, children, it's just a shot away. It's just a shot away..."

  • the american government fed its people hatred against other countries....just like they still do

  • Look at this shit right here lol and wow Donald got paid lol

  • propaganda should be illegal

  • Now we are the bad guys running around invading countries left and right. Let's see, we're in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen and Pakistan! It's getting to so many I might lose track!

  • @christo930 The biggest irony of all is that both Germany and Japan are probably the 2 biggest pacifist nations on earth with in tact democracy, growing economies and good lives for most people, while America is now the aggressor with large segments of the population living under the poverty line.

  • right.....IT'S AAAAAAALLLLL Hitler and Hirohito's FAULT.....

  • oh yea and today old Donald Duck is a poor brainwashed has been thinking he is still right while his children are suffering under a bunch of anti white racists !

  • I remember watching this at my Grandparent's house when I was little. I guess it shows that we also have ridiculous propaganda. Classic.

  • The youtube comments on these old cartoons make my pessimism and overall bitterness towards people look highly optimistic. Which is pretty sad.

  • Does donald duck know that his income tax will be used to pay the interest on the national debt to the same bankers that also funded the nazis?

  • i think musicians should be tax exempt

  • @davidwaters69 i think social outcasts should be tax exempt cos why contribute to society when i am almost totally excluded from society? I hate my country so much so thats what im gonna do XD

  • Wait, you mean we should actually PAY for wars that we fight? Wow.

Also, I'm awfully glad Scotland was on our side!

  • damn they sur do know how to motivate people back then not like todays generation motivational crap

  • You really have to hand it to that generation of Americans they knew how to sacrifice for the greater good and how to accomplish great things. At home people were taxed 95% so they'd feel involved in the fight and to make sure they only bought what they absolutely needed. They do some of this in China today this is how superpowers are made. It's too bad today that we're so self absorbed that we've forgotten what made us great in the first place.

  • The income tax was brought in under very auspicious conditions: during the first world war. We are told to pay taxes to be "good, compliant little citizens". In fact, both World Wars were planned, in my opinion, by the Illuminati - to impoverish and control the public. Is it any coincidence the Federal Reserve formed in 1913, and World War I started in 1914? If there was no Federal Reserve, and there was still a gold standard, WW I would've been a 6-month skirmish!

  • @derfowvayer Well I don't really think that's a coincidence that the Fed was formed in 1913 and a war started 1 year later. That's like saying that it was planned the war November 11.

  • @derfowvayer

If I recall it right, gold standard started to sink after WW1.

Anyway, it's obvious that someone get's something out of this shit throughout history. There's always some sort of interest, nothing happens just because it happens.

  • @Static172 yeah FDR made Gold ownership illegal in 1933. One of our worst presidents in U.S. history IMO that made the depression worse and whose policies helped us enter WW2 sooner despite his promises. If we had no embargoes and other isolationist policies we could have stayed out of the war and let the Soviet Union and Germany fight it out and destroy each other.

  • @tommy35ss

The question is how were these isolationist policies affecting the rest of the world. Or how bad they were.

I'm assuming here, cause I don't have knowledge about this topic, but may be, those policies provoked what happened in Germany in 1933 (Hitler rising to power). That's why I don't agree with you on that last part of the last sentence. But what I can tell you though, those policies towards Japan during first years of ww2 (before the us got involved) and confiscations of

  • @tommy35ss

Japanese money, oil embargo those things for sure provoked the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the involvement of the us in the war afterwards

  • @Static172 What lead to the rise of power of Hitler was the war debt placed on Germany after WW1 which caused the hyperinflation events of the 1920's. look up hyperinflation of the Weimar Republic. Your thinking because one who thought we should stay out of the war is a isolationist which is not true. Isolationism leads to war. It places embargoes and sanctions on other countries. We should have practiced non interventionism and stayed out of the war, but we didn't so we traded one---

  • @Static172 ----one dictator for another, and caused other wars in the process, such as the cold war and its proxy conflicts. With this came the possibility of a 3rd world war that would destroy the entire world. So what did we gain from WW2? Nothing good as far I could tell, other than getting rid of Hitler, but that empowered Stalin so it balanced out and accomplished nothing.

  • @tommy35ss

You know, sometimes it amazes me how stupid politicians are (or may it's because it's their intention?).

Every time some shit comes up everybody is looking for answer that will postpone the consequences of the problem or maximum they'll find a cheap answer that would not actually eliminate the problem it's as if they want this endless circle of problems to be there and never end...

  • @Static172 very true, kick the can down the road policy..

  • i'm german and this is an offense.

  • @pecora01 I`m german too, but how is that an offense to us? It`s propaganda alright, to justify raising taxes to fight a threat to democracy. And of course the new taxes weren't lowered after the war. And the good old "defending democracy ruse" is still used to fool american and european people into all sorts of things. But an offense to germans? No. Nazis are bad, just like terrorists. Just be careful, when they are used as justification to take away your money. Or your freedom.

  • svastika at 2:02

  • @ghiote genius

  • This shit is just too unreal. I can't believe how blatant these motherfuckers are. How bold they were

  • notice how they pin the issue to make it look like tax evaders who don't want to pay for all those guns and bombs look like spendthrifts. And they make poor old uncle scrooge a equate saving to be a thing not for yourself but for the government. as if you should sacrifice your values for death.

  • Wow, that hipster duck sounds like a Tea Partier. "Eff, society!! It's your money! Spend it only on what you want!" The scottish duck seems more like a Keynsian economist. Oh well . . . those were the days. Before voodoo, field-of-dreams, piss-on-your-back-and-tell-you-it's-trickle-down, supply-side economics and the Laffer curve.

  • @vcdaniels A Keynsian economist talking about saving? That'll be the day. And yes, Reaganomics was a corporatist's wet dream.

  • @hanzo138

Well the scottish duck was talking about saving money in order to use it for taxes. Those taxes needed to help finance the war effort. Since Reaganomics, we've somehow begun to think that we can, not only conduct A war, but FOUR wars and all we have to do (to quote W Bush) is "go shopping". Somehow, we've come to slap the swastika on the scottish duck and the American flag on the hipster duck.

  • @vcdaniels Well isn't the "go shopping" a Keynesian idea too? You have to "prime the pump" get people to spend more money to keep the economy "stimulated" correct? Don't save your money, spend it! The economy is depending on you! I get where you are coming from but a most of our taxes go to shit that is a total failure and has no hope for a lasting future as of right now, wars to nowhere, special interest corporate welfare, etc. That's why taxes are frowned upon these days.

  • These propaganda cartoons are incredibly disturbing.

  • is this where the idea of scrooge mcduck came from?

  • @uchihasi no this is a bastardization of scrooge. the commics showed him to be against theft and coercion by the government. he was an anthropomorthized laisses faire capitalist duck haha. my hero

  • Wiener dogs in outer space

  • END THE INCOME TAX.

Plank #2 of the communist manifesto is a progressive income tax. It is your property, and the role of government is supposed to protect private property, not STEAL it from you.

Rashness of people like FDR getting ppl into WWII should not punish the productive non-political class.

  • those pipes freak me out big time

  • Taxes to bloat the MIC

  • guns.. Guns. GUNS!!!

  • In 1913, the effort of the founders to protect us from disproportionate

taxation was overridden by the ratification of the 16th Amendment", "Those

who were seduced into voting for this amendment were told that what was

intended was a modest 1 or 2 percent on very high incomes. It would never

touch the lives of ordinary citizens

  • The Income Tax is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, It is SOCIALIST, and It is EXTORTION.

Why would I want to give money to a private bank (the FED) so the ownere can take a cut and then give part of the money to the government so that they can kill a bunch of innocent people in third world countries? Why would anyone want to pay income taxes when the gov't is going to use the money to blast propaganda and disinformation on me and the other citizens? 9/11 was an inside job...PERIOD.

  • @ScrewSocialism If the income tax is not constitutional, then why is it the 16th Amendment of the United States Constitution? You can't pick and choose what is and isn't the Constitution because it is there. it's in black ink, it's on record, it's on file. Paying taxes is patriotic indeed because it's our money, and if we didn't then we couldn't have a nation to begin with. This mentality of "starving the beast" is more like anarchy. I say this actually as a fiscal conservative.

  • @TigerghostPictures The 16th amendment was never ratified by enough states to become law. America is a Fascist Country controlled by Zionist and special interest. There is no reason to be patriotic...the US kills hundreds of innocent people everyday in foreign countries. The US is the largest drug dealer on the planet. It arrests its own citizens when they use the gov'ts dope. There is no law requiring you to pay income tax. YouTube it. The look up Iran Contra. Then look up NWO.

  • @TigerghostPictures In 1913, the effort of the founders to protect us from disproportionate

taxation was overridden by the ratification of the 16th Amendment", "Those

who were seduced into voting for this amendment were told that what was

intended was a modest 1 or 2 percent on very high incomes. It would never

touch the lives of ordinary citizens

  • @sscofield1018 It was a different time then. In 1913, the Progressive Era was still widely affecting our culture. It was an era that didn't really favor the businesses, but the workers. Our government literally destroyed monopolies who were threatening government power. The income tax was used as a fail-safe, so that corporations couldn't stage a coup - something that FreedomWorks today is attempting to achieve. Look what happened with the Romner case. This is a coup.

  • @TigerghostPictures HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! monopolies... you mean like the federal reserve system? well they didnt do that great a job of "protecting" us now did they... because that monopoly is still butt fucking us, without a condom

  • @phroto13 I have little input on the FED [I can't stand it either, nor do I understand its purpose], but I clearly understand why we had to tax our people to fund the war against Germany and Japan. The same "support the troops crowd" that stands today in support of the Iraq War were the ones favoring increased taxes then. Even with the tax dollars, we went into massive debt during the war. I think we are still paying off part of that debt today too because debt builds. Have we ever made profit?

  • War Socialism is a very ugly thing and I am glad that America's enemies are itti-bity terrorists.

  • He said, "Hirohito" wrong lol! The income tax is just statist appropriation of wealth.

  • On next years tax forms Congress should let tazpayers check off which party in Congress they want to authorize to manage their money. Then Democrats can raise taxes from all those rich Democrats for projects beneficial to Democrats and pay off their own debts anyway they want and Republicans will be able to cut programs not beneficial to Republicans and only have Republican debts to pay off.

  • For those who have been laid off from your job because of the company that you are working for went belly up or too disabled to work, I feel sorry for you.

If you rather received a welfare check than work for the living, I am not feel sorry for you.

  • We need to stop wasting tax resources housing and feeding illegals and lazy retarded inner city scum now!

  • We don't actually have to pay taxes, SEE ZEITGIEST

Blade try to fight the system, but the system struck him down

  • Why does this cartoon end with ''good save the queen''?

  • Good video man

Check out Broken Dialect - Song from the Heart (globalfaction)

Hip hop video filmed at the mass protest in London on 26/03/11

Big song with a big message, tune in!

  • Save your money to pay for the Defense Department's ($653 billion), the military portion from other departments ($150 billion), and an additional $162 billion to supplement the Budget’s misleading and vast underestimate of only $38 billion for the “war on terror.” Don't forget veterans’ benefits plus interest on the debt incurred Total $965 billion, give or take a few, each year for the military industrial complex a.k.a. America's biggest jobs program.

  • Something no-one is talking about is that you had to PAY to see this cartoon and also a newsreel and movie. So, this mean that Disney is Nazi for trying to get to spend money?

  • "V" for Victory over the verminous jew!

  • Something that should have been portrayed is the evil, usury, verminous, jew.

  • You don't mind paying taxes if you get something out of it (like buying a candy bar). But in America (and every other capitalist country) your taxes go to the plutocracy of CEOs and bankers. In America the rich get free candy bars and the toilers get wage slavery and perpetual war.

  • if somebody works for their money ,its nobodys right to tell them what to do with it.

  • Uncle scrooge really comes off to me as the kind of guy who would really try to dodge taxes whenever he could.

  • ironic, bcuz now it's "Don't tax me bro!"

  • Did that army of tanks just blow up a giant nazi robot?

  • join me in a boycott of our income tax.

Until the government decides how to use our money, they can't have our money. I'm not talking about this temporary budget we just got hours ago. As of right now the United States government is a family on welfare living from week to week. I refuse to pay my income taxes until our leaders form a long term budget(minimum of 6 months).

message me and please join my facebook group

    this is our time

  • Their income taxes did not run the factories or go towards the war machine, they just went to the Bilderbergs. Lol.

  • @TheTrueJBV3737

    PM me a source please.

  • wow at 2:02 theirs a swastika

i cant imagine what people would be saying if sadam hussien or osama was mentioned in any kids cartoons these days

  • Woah, racial stereotypes from the 40s! Scottish people are stingy! Greasers in zoot suits are anti-patriotic, unprincipled and have no self discipline! Good things all those stereotypes have been quashed and racism has been eradicated in 2011!

  • Yes save and pay your taxes so that your betters can wage wars, manufactuer arms and kill the enemy, and if there is no enemy they will make one up, just keep paying your taxes !!!!

  • taxes something we can do with out

  • WAR...? GOOD JOB USA!

  • 2.02 explanes it all,.

  • irstaxattorneys. org

  • Talk about the government getting cheap and greedy.

  • There is a clear message here though, Taxes not for welfare or social engineering but Taxes for our military and national security, a legitimate and essential function of the state. Only through strong national defence can we keep our freedoms in the West.

I love paying taxes for the military, I hate paying taxes for supporting my lazy ass neighbour who doesnt want to work or who gets special benefits because of his race, gender or creed. I give money to charity to help the poor, not taxes.

  • @killerbee2k Looks like no taxes were invested in your education. You no spell too good.

  • @dodgyhingst damn, should have gone to that private school after all then

  • @killerbee2k

Income taxes is a load of bullshit and you're brainwashed. I wouldn't mind paying taxes if it went toward the community but the income tax you think is going to the military and other financial bills the gov has on their hands is actually going to these guys pockets. It disappears. You'd think that they'd at least tell the truth when they require you by law to be truthful... smh.

Only reason why Disney supports this shit is 'cuz income taxes pays them as well.

  • @adiostraitorobama yea back then personal tax paid for the military...my grandparents used to talk about back in the day when tax money was actually used iin a productive way lol good comment about national debt btw

  • WE HAVE NO CHOICE. NO FREEDOMS.

WE ARE SLAVES IN THIS OLIGARCHY.

WE EITHER CHANGE NOW OR ENTER POLICE EARTH. (police state Earth) =P

hucklebur - great idea. stock up

  • Comment removed

  • GUNS GUNS AND MORE GUNS!!!!!!!!! ill save for those!

  • FAIL

  • This is so beautiful. I started to get all teary eyed at the end.

  • WOW!! Spend your dough or save for TAXES? hmmmm... words fail me.

  • @Hipster55 Yea, it does leave you a little speechless doesn't it.

Save to pay taxes (to fund wars no less), not to invest, not for your retirement, not for your children, not for a rainy day, etc., in other words, not for yourself. Priceless.

The worst part is these cartoons were made for children, can we say 'indoctrination'. Yes We Can!

  • @UtubeMyAccountName well said!!

  • @UtubeMyAccountName Lol, yeah. Especially since the cartoon says 'It is our war' when only the force of suspicion, not even fact, brought the support for the war.

  • @UtubeMyAccountName take a history lesson man...these cartoons were actually played for the general audience in movie theaters before the movie..kind of like we have trailers now...it wasnt until the mid- and late 1970's that anti-axis and war propaganda films were produced for children. yes Disney made childrens movies but they invented Technicolor which led the government away from black and white cartoons to actual color

  • @The350s10 This isn't a big deal, but you are wrong. Movie content in the early part of the 20thcentury, was mostly made for children; serials, matinees, these propaganda cartoons, etc.. Feature (adult) films, were a small portion of theater content, until recent decades. If you learn a little history, you'll realize that children spent about 5X as much time in theaters as did adults. This was a result of most families in those days, not having televisions in their home.

    ;-)

  • @UtubeMyAccountName Normally i would agree with you, but in this circumstance the western world was under attack and on the verge of collapse. Still an absolute pissa none the less tho.

  • @UtubeMyAccountName And beating the Nazis and Imperial Japan was bad idea then? Yeah, no, I don't think so. I would be glad to pay taxes to beat them. And guess what? I will still pay money to beat Osama and his Taliban friends. Shame on you. You believe in success without sacrifice - or worse, success because of someone else's sacrifice. Me, me, me is all you know.

  • @angryliberal1984 You sound more like a neocon than a liberal.

...and yes WWI and WWII were bad ideas, as is this war on Islam, and that is what it is, a war on Islam not terror.

How may I ask you is an Imperial United States better than an Imperial Japan?

How is a U.S. war on Islam better than a Nazi war on Judaism?

I believe in hard work, ambition, industry, entrepreneurship, free-open trade (a.k.a.productivity) to achieve success, NOT sacrifice. So you are right about that one.

  • @UtubeMyAccountName

This apparently will come as news to you, but that war we were fighting was a massive effort that was for nothing less than the survival of our way of life. What kind of rainy day or retirement would you be saving for living in subjugation? Please try not to sleep through history class next time...

  • @Bags9 Interesting... So how'd that whole saving our way of life work out?

Our society is more closely related to nazi Germany (& post soviet Russia) in most ways than it is to pre WW United States:

Intolerance, rampant socialism, class warfare, financial ruin, societal discord, imperialism, low productivity, high unemployment, debt, totalitarian govt, etc... Wars never solve the problems they're supposed to.

So I'll stay awake in history class, you take off your blinders, & we'll call it even.

  • @UtubeMyAccountName Actually, this was not made for children.

  • @chobits1983 I already addressed this. These cartoons were played in movie theaters during the day, before serials, when only children were in attendance. I don't know how old you are, but I have uncles who remember watching these cartoons in theaters when they were kids.

In point of fact, almost all propaganda is geared to young persons. You should really take a closer look.

  • @UtubeMyAccountName Yeah God forbid you spend money on something other than yourself! I can't imagine anything more ignoble than spending taxes on defeating Hitler and Imperial Japan!

  • @cambocan 1. I spend money on things other than myself all the time. My money, not someone else's. What an inane comment.

    2. Neither can I.

  • @UtubeMyAccountName Oh, ok. So you don't think the United States should have entered World War II after being attacked by Japan and seeing the Nazis rampage throughout Europe, destroying down Western Civilization. After all what's that got to do with you?

  • @cambocan "...destroying down Western Civilization..." What nonsense. It seems these cartoons are rather effective after all.

Do you know what caused WWII?

Do you know what caused the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor?

    Do you even care?

  • @UtubeMyAccountName The illuminati? The freemasons? Shape shifting reptilians? Global bureaucrats? The federal reserve? Let's hear it!

  • @cambocan ??? What are you going on about?

Actually, the part about globalist bureaucrats & central banking isn't as absurd as the rest of what you said; but it's not as complex as all that.

It is simply a matter of cause & effect.

  • @UtubeMyAccountName Most cartoons of this era were usually the prelude to a movie and also after a newsreel and were intended for adults. And of course featured propaganda.

  • @weggieish I've already answered this question two times. These ads were mostly shown before serials, not features. I have uncles who spent all day in movie theaters when they were kids, who recognize many of these cartoons. You seem to forget that most homes didn't have televisions, this was the only place kids could go to see motion pictures.

Most adults of the time were working fathers & homemaking mothers who had neither the habit, nor the time to be sitting in movie theaters all day.

  • Donald Duck is influenced extremely easily. I can only imagine how Donald dealt with parties in high school when he was offered meth and crack.

  • @TheoreticChaos Nearly every american also is influenced extremely easily, they all pay taxes

  • @TheMcThirstyBrothers Well, everyone in every developed country everywhere pays taxes. Many countries pay far higher taxes than Americans as well. So I don't exactly see what you're getting at.

  • @TheoreticChaos Sorry buddy but thats not true. We pay more taxes than any other developed country except Japan. And they're a bout to lower theirs 5% making us pay the most.

  • @jokerjake3 That's only true with the average corporate income tax. Personal taxes in Europe and Japan are much higher than in America. Look this up anywhere, you'll find it.

  • gosh, if KIDS can easily understand why taxes are good for you, then certainly an ADULT can!

pass the kleenex, i'm going to cry! I get it! I get it! Where's my checkbok?!!! ;-)

  • @TadRapidly I know! LOL! The artificial patriotism being shoved down people's throats in this cartoon is enough to make most people gag!

  • @GrowTheTruth well, these sadists haven't changed and they haven't changed their methods: create a scapegoat.

  • @TadRapidly LOL! I know! Anything to keep people paying them money they don't actually have to pay them. By law, people don't have to pay their income taxes, considering wages and salaries aren't considered gross income.

  • @GrowTheTruth

“Compensation for labor or services, paid in the form of wages or salary, has been universally held by the courts of this republic to be income, subject to the income tax laws currently applicable.”

    United States v. Romero

“Irrefutably, wages earned in compensation for services are “income” pursuant to the federal tax laws.”

    Boubel v. United States,

  • @RetSquid (1) You fail to see the point I’ve been trying to make to you. Albeit that is partially my fault for going off on a tangent regarding legality. Regardless, the bottom line is that a lot of people just will not and can not pay income taxes. They won’t, they refuse to and it will not happen. End of story!

You can call them criminals if you want, but America is facing a poverty epidemic today not seen since the 1960’s, in which 1 out of every 7 people are living below the poverty line.

  • @RetSquid

    (2) The Business Insider stated that 30% of Americans are below the poverty line or are quickly heading towards poverty.By current American population, that is over 93 million people (93,576,000)! So, if 30% of Americans are barely making enough money to survive, then there’s pretty much your 1/3 that don’t do their taxes.

You appear to look at this so black and white: “it MUST be the people’s fault for not paying their taxes and they must therefore be criminals”.

  • @RetSquid (3) I make just enough to get by & I‘m successful in what I do, but I am not wealthy by any means! I have no savings account, I live pay check to pay check (like many out there).

The same can be said for 1/3 of the population. They’re people who can’t afford to pay income taxes & who refuse to.

Why would they give money that they can’t even afford to a government who is just going to use it to barely dent the National Debt that just officially went past $14 trillion the other day?

  • @RetSquid (4)That being said only about 1% of all Americans are audited every year, so most Americans (while fearful of being audited) are happy to take the risk and keep their extra money.

Bitch about it all you want, call people criminals, whine, complain, gripe and condemn them, but you aren’t accomplishing anything. You aren’t going to make those people pay their income taxes and even if you did, all that would be done is that those people will have less to live off of than before.

  • @RetSquid (5) It won’t pay for services, it won’t affect the debt, it won’t make America stronger and those people will never see an improvement to their quality of life from giving their money.

Frankly, the American government is the terrorist in the eyes of rest of the world. It's an enemy to many of its people. Calling people “unpatriotic” for not paying income tax to a corrupt system is really not an insult. The government is not America. Patriots believe in America...not the government.

  • @GrowTheTruth

First, over 40% of American do not pay income tax because they (we) don't have enough income. The 1/3 number comes from those that DO have enough income to pay, but do not...those are the cheats/criminals.

None of what I have said has anything to do with the idiots in Washington spending far more than we can pay. We are looking at this from different angles. I am just arguing that if you violate the law, don't expect to get off scott-free.

  • @RetSquid I understand where you're coming from. I simply don't see the point of income tax. I can't see where its benefiting anyone!

It isn't helping those who DO pay any more than those who don't, so either way the income tax just seems like a futile way for them to throw other people's money at their own debt, derived from irresponsible actions that the taxpayer had no part in.

Just seems a real waste of money no matter how I look at it, so I can't blame those who don't want to pay it.

  • @GrowTheTruth

There needs to be a form of income tax where EVERYONE pays, that way everyone has an interest in keeping taxes low and government small. No more income tax favors for special interests.

  • @RetSquid They need to wipe out the Federal Reserve & the IRS first. Then they need to make the government smaller & less powerful.

I don't see how taxing everyone's income is going to help in any way. Many still won't pay & the impoverished will refuse. Reality is that people are already taxed for their hydro, food, transportation, services, water, property, gas, roads & everything else people need to use daily.

Why tax the poor on the money they depend on? More taxes isn't the right answer.

  • @RetSquid Taking more from people simply isn't going to work. Especially if you consider that most of the American economy isn't really backed by anything (neither gold nor silver), at that point the paper money would be pretty much worthless.

I agree that a smaller government is a big step but only if to do some serious damage to the amount spent on the government & running it. In that case, the taxes accumulated through goods & services should be close to covering expenses.

  • @RetSquid Furthermore, like I said, America is "officially" $14 trillion in debt. If China allows its economy to flourish, then nearly all the population will be impoverished. Is everyone then not obligated to pay income taxes because they're all under the poverty line?

My point is that it just seems a foolish waste of money that many could use towards something far more useful than paying off a debt that has only grown (not shrank). Like throwing water into a bucket with a hole in the bottom.

  • wow.... just wow.... for the love of god just get me off of the system
