  • @ iceman977th you can separate the horns and hook them up to a custom manifold that allows you to mount the horns anywhere you have room. Each horn gets its own airline and mounting bracket.

  • @dieselsniper, well its been a couple of years since you posted this video. How's the horns sounding after running them at the 160/175 OSI range? Could you do a new video of them and how there sounding? Just curious because I just recently got a set of k5la's and pressure switch shut my compressors off at 168. And Id rather buy a lower switch then send my horns in for repair. Thx.

  • Hate to say it but you are gonna ruin those diaphragms. And horn doesn't sound to healthy.

  • I personally wouldn't go any further than 150 psi on 1/2" line.

  • More power isn't better. It's best to stay in the 100-150 psi range on these horns. Prolonged exposure to over 150 psi can damage the internals of the horn.

  • Thanks for the FYI Matt. I have heard mixed feelings on that. I think Ill stick to a 1/2" line with around 160-175psi.

  • @DieselSniper Truthfully,as a railroad man I would not suggest going above 140 PSI. Once you start going above that range you run the real risk of damageing& cracking the diaphragm's. Locomotives never run there's above 140psi. I have a Leslie RS-3LR horn& I don't go above 140psi. Don't want to see you damage an expensive beautiful horn like that!!
