how far do you usually leed ducks? i hunt this canal wich has marshes on both ends and they fly back and forth all day,they usually follow the canal so they r fairly close,i sit in the canal and wait for them to fly by but i miss them way too much

if your pass shootin no doubt they're haulin ass to feed or roost. i like to start with the gun behind the bird and as you swing the gun barrel across the bird and in front of it, that should put more dead birds on the water. it helps cause then it keeps your gun definitely moving. you may think your leading it but if your not movin the gun, the shot will be behind the bird by the time it passes

but like those other guys said, try a couple decoys...it dont take much like you might see on shows...even half dozen and half ass callin might get their attention to come around and look. dont get cute and see how close you can get them though...if they seem in range and slow enough, take 'em. worst feelin is being fancy and they flare on their 3rd time comin around.

yeah, check out the first video response. When ducks are coming into the hole, straight down like a helicoptor you want to make sure to shoot at the birds feet. If they're coming straight at you, setting into the deeks, you want to shoot right below the bill. Both easy, but commonly missed shots
