@gigidyyy They couldn't obtain the rights due to Casey Rankin (who passed away 2 years ago) and Keiko Utoku not being a part of Sega. US has really stupid copyright laws when it comes to importing stuff from Japan... so they just remade the songs into instrumentals. The least they could have done was have a guitar or something do the melody that the voices had. It sounds so bland without it.

the japanesse version and the american version are both the same games. The only difference between them is only the music. So really much by saying the japanesse version sucks means that you just think sonic cd sucks.

So, Sonic CD has no theme at the ps3 menu. even the full version, when you select it nothing happens, the background doesn't change. Is there any other games that has no background change when you select it ?

I admit I love that they have a past and future version of the music, it's just frustrating trying to go to the past in the later stages.

@Shadowzinho1 OK. It's Kinda complicated. You (Sonic) are in the present. Robotnik's Base of Operations is in the Future, and He's attacking the past, to rule the world. He has used the Time Stones to put a Robot Generator in every level, so you have to go in the past, find the Robot Generator, and destroy it for a Good Future, not ruled by Robotnik. Alternatively, if you finish a level with 50 rings, you get a chance to win a Time Stone. Collecting all 7 guarantees Good Futures.
