  • I think is an old song the men kill 150yrs ago. But is make me cry to think

Over 650,000 men dye in that war for nothing.

  • @nyguy9A that war had more reason than most we have fought. beginning of the end for this country.

  • To hell with Robert E. Lee, he should have frought to the last man!!!!!

  • which one does he sing in the episode of the dukes of hazzard

  • Old rebel saying: Boys when you run out of bullets kill another Yankee with yer ramrod. With attitudes like that be glad they didn't have the manufacturing base the North had.

  • Thank-you Hoyt ..We miss you and remember you in San Diego, CA.

  • We need to remember all those southern boys who gave their lives for their beliefs and for what is right GOD BLESS THE SOUTH

  • This was written for the Jesse Jame movie, "the Long Riders."

  • @JettRink50 No, it wasn't. The lyrics to this song were written by James Innes Randolph, a Confederate veteran who died in 1887. The melody is the old Irish tune "Joe Bowers."

  • He's just unreconstructed. I feel this way about Muslims.

  • @domcplnc lol WTF ethnocentric enough??? muslims are on par with everyone else. unreconstructed referring to the middle east? try never constructed and not going to be for a long time. lol wow ur comment is ridiculous hate muslims much?

  • When you think about what the guy who sings this song actually says, it tends to sound kind of sad. Makes me feel bad for not just confederate soldiers. But anybody who's ever lost a war before. Anywhere, ever.

  • give those billy yanks the bayonet

  • "Madam, don't bring up your sons to detest the United States Government. Recollect that we form one country now. Abandon all these local animosities, and make your sons Americans." - Robert E. Lee

  • @JobberBud Best commentary about this song ive read..Great man Robert E. Lee

  • where can i download this??? link???

  • Does anyone here but me know that his mother worte "Heartbreak Hotel"? She did.

  • @mmm413 I've heard that and believe it to be true. I know he has written so many songs, was a great performer, an actor, and wonderful storyteller. It bothers me to see comments on him being a "country singer". He wrote the Pusher, Joy to the World, Snowblind, Greenback Dollar, and Lightning Bar Blues (which I thought Woodie or Arlo wrote!) and so many other songs. He was a National Treasure!

  • lol i heard this song from the empire total war mod. xD
