I'm about to buy a '11 Evo GSR. What can you do to it without voiding the warranty? It's gonna be a daily driver so I'm not gonna throw to many mods into it. At least until the warranty expires. Then I'll do some serious stuff to it.
@SpiritDragon0201 sorry for the delayed response. you basically cannot do anything related to the performance of your car without jeopardizing your warranty. even just removing and replacing an exhaust, a part which is merely bolt-on, runs the same risk. from my experience though, and please note, i have an MR, the engine has been solid with the power increases. do your due diligence and your car should be fine with a couple bolt-ons and a tune, i.e. change your oil liberally.
@mrlax101 have a budget of 5k. start with the basic bolt-ons and a tune. if you're still not satisfied go cams and then a tune. if you're still not satisfied, save another 2.5k and go e85. and then... if you're still not satisfied, buy a gtr.
What mods to the tranny do you think your gonna get? Clutch packs? Cooling fan? Sorry for all the questions. I love the way your car sound though. haha
Yea most definitely the cooling fan. The SST heats up too quickly and you can feel it get sluggish, after only 30 minutes of driving. I am still awaiting the results on the clutch pack. Hopefully, it is able to hold more horsepower and I can look into installing a bigger turbo!

@drumlleycult89 that is a great point and a concern that all of us MR drivers face. it has not been though so much a question of how much the trans can hold in terms of power, i.e. MR drivers with bigger turbos still running on their first transmission. the question is better phrased, "do you feel lucky?" did you receive a fully functional and operational transmission or a lemon, i.e. MR drivers, who have never modified (the outrage!) and yet already had their transmission replaced (fail).

Transmission is holding up! It needs to have mods though to make it run cooler. It is pushing about 330whp. It is a beast!
