  • great review of the p280, i was considering a cm storm enforcer, but after seeing this video, the p280 seems to be more user friendly and easier to make changes to your hardware. thanks

  • I consider to buy it but,

Would this case be good for SLI of 2 GTX560Ti?

please thumb up if you say "YES" :)

  • @gasturbat8 Yes, the 5 series are as small as the 4 series.

  • @kareeji I know they would fit, I ment if the case is capable of cooling that setup...?

  • I just bout this and also got a large be quiet pc noise absorber kit to install. This is a large case! just about covered the side panels, and half the floor. Need to find some other way to get some extra mats without buying a whole kit. Btw antec just cheapened out, they don't use the locking psu fan filter any more and they have left out the rubber fan pins too (you get metal ones)

  • @OnlineBackupServices Hey can you tell me how much clearance there is between the door and the front panel? I was wondering if I could install a fan controller with knobs (Scythe Kaze Master) in this and still be able to fully close the door.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheExprima though I personally wouldn't have the fan controller dials all the way into the foam. If you need to put the fan controller a little bit back. Or pick a controller that sticks out 18mm or less.

  • @OnlineBackupServices Awesome, thanks for the info.

  • I don't see any innovation here, It's the god damn same thing Antec has been doing for years - Adding modern features to a former innovative case.

  • if i wanted to install an h100, would i use the mounted fans, the h100 fans, or both? is there enough space for both? so i would use the pcb on the back to controll nothing or eg the front fans? tnx

  • The P183 V3 is way better than this shit!

  • this review bought my thumbs up and the want of buying the case !!!

  • p280 mini... plz antec

  • is the top dual fan screw spacing compatible with the h100 cooler

  • @valdarmort yes

  • which is better? This or the fractal design r3?

  • @DemonFlame4 fractal for silent everything else this

  • Why no front intake? Can I take one from the top and put it on the front?

  • Not a pretty case.

  • Wow, they thought of everything! Cudos to Antec!

  • No removable Mother Board tray. It's my preference to have removable MB trays in my builds. I'll stick with my Cooler Master ATCS 840. Out of production, but still the best in my opinion. More and more plastic is finding it's way into new cases, it's such a shame. I've had two Cooler Master Wavemaster cases and the 840, mostly metal construction.

The P280 is nice, but not my choice since it doesn't have a removable MB Tray.

  • unless you're huge like me...yeahhh *flex muscles* that's right

  • Hrmm I dunno, this or the Corsair 650D. Both very similar. The only advantage here is the extra sound damping in the panels and the toolless drive mounting seems more secure. The Corsair has a nice built in external drive mount tho and it can fit video cards the entire length of the case =b

  • Like corsair, but better :)

  • the 120mm fan slots are on the other side of the harddisk slots. So not were linus shows it. Tbh mutch better!

  • I don't know anyone who likes fan controllers on the back of the case. Other than that it looks like a nice case

  • It may have a few features but man its sure short on looks...Myself when i buy a case i need the wow factor i have to be interested..Sorry

  • @DWcriticism It's meant for those who don't want a case that looks like a Chav's car, and a very quiet profile.

  • @shinypurplewalrus I have this condition & one sound that disturbes me is the sound of computer fans so i had to figure somthing out so im able to use a computer. So i picked up the Antec 900 with a zalman reserator v2 & i replaced all the fans with Antec's new noiseless fans that just hit the market after my mods id like to see if my case compares with your silent case

  • @LinusYechTips I dont complain about the doors just the fact that they open the wrong way round.

  • @adamjamesroe LinusYechTips?

  • @acemace3618 Comon dude is a typo.... if you havent noticed the Y is next to the T.

  • @adamjamesroe DUMBASS!

  • Just asking this again, not sure which one to get: P280 or eleven-hundred or something else; thoughts?

  • @ Wasabinatto ---Crap, I ended up ordering the Fractal R3 instead of either of thos....Guess I should have waited for your response :/ and should have ordered the P280.~Dave

  • Hello, would you choose this or the Fractal Design XL, Having a hard time....choosing. What would be your personal choice?

    Thanks, Dave

  • @daveroski P280 for sure, the features and build quality isn't comparable for the two. Price difference is only 10-20 dollars. Fan filter lock, 3cm cable routing room, rubber grommets that doesn't fall out easily. Acoustic materials fall apart after being used for a while due to system temp. Side removable fan filter is going to save the day for you as oppose to rear pull out filter. XL-ATX Support on the P280 as well, you might not need it... but the extra room is nice to work with...

  • 9:50 "I can even jam my hand in there for emphasis.." xD

  • easily put my MCP655 pump in the bottom of the case.. and reservoir as well.. inside

the easiness of all the stuff made me get it.. as well as the multiple layers of paint..

I strayed away from the see through cases cause the way the light hits them.. is not good.. cheap look.. isn't like expensive glass with anti glare..case is superb quality

  • this case would be perfect for my phase change conversion

  • you missed 2 extra fan mounts, the inside of the harddrives ;)

  • thumbs up 2 you mate, never seen a bad vid you have done, keep up the good work :)

  • After 5 years I am still using my P190 + 1200 and will not change it for a long time yet. Why don't they include the power supply in the P280?

  • @launchsa Why would i need one when i always use SeaSonic PSUs?

  • It looks like a fridge. And because of that I will be getting one. No, really. Love it.

  • Comment removed

  • Ever since i saw this case today i think im gonna replace my monster P193 with it.

Yes i loose 2x140MM in the top..but that shouldn't really matter,

  • A window on the side would've been nice.

  • In looks i find the P180/182/183 still superior as for doors on cases i hang my headset on them.

And with this new case i would prefer black fan screw up top seeing the top is fully Black. And it breaks the whole smooth black look. Interior wise it reminds me allot of Corsair cases cable management wise. Or other copetions make it so as well wouldn't be surprised more cases look more like this in the future if it is'nt already so.

  • i love this case, antec is back in the game.

  • You can buy this case on Newegg now. GF just got me the case for early xmas =D

  • I like the ease of cleaning that filter over my HAF 912(which I love

  • Hey guys, im looking to get a new gaming pc case, but i want something that looks awsome, any suggestions?

  • @ThRoostr if u get a case now.. this is probably the best latest XL-ATX case out.. the other cases look epic in ur opinion but they r only ATX.. if u get a case later u can get an epic looking case with XL-ATX.. but they rn't out just yet.. imo I like this.. I'm straying away from the window design.. my pc is water all in cased.. used to get crazy with watercooling.. had like cathodes before UV lights were out.. now I just need a nice sleek case that is easy to swap stuff in and out from

  • I bought it cause of this video! XL-ATX plus innovation ftw

  • ALL I GOT TO SAY IS OBSIDIAN 800D!!!!true 6gb/sec hot swaps! true innovation

  • Линус рулид!

  • love this ch :)

  • But why is it cheaper than the P183?

  • 03:16 made me laugh so hard XD

  • Finally I professional looking case with no lights and features. Not everyone wants there case to be a Christmas tree

  • Face it, nobody uses their optical drive.

  • @TonysTactics

    I do.

  • THE INTRO STILL GIVES ME THE SHITS

    THE NIGGA WINKED LOL

  • 5:27 "Oh it doesn't come out, it doesn't come out"

11:41 "If you pull on it a lot, then it comes"

    =D

  • lol the box was already open at the bottom :P

  • Linus, which one is better and why? This case here. or the NZXT H2 H2-001-BK? Can you 1st answer that question price aside, then answer that question with consideration of the price point. THANKS!

  • It looks kinda like a minifridge...

  • This seems just like my Silverstone PS05 - Cable Management...

  • *step 1: Open the front panel.

  • Screw CD's put games on a small SD card or something else smaller than CD's

  • Finally a cool case, no pun intended :)

  • Yes they are PC Cases which supporting longer than 13" cards on the market ;)

    ATCS840 for example.

  • look so ugh case

    cooler master case pc ftw

  • ooooooohh i thought you were gonna unbox it like a mime :O

  • Does Ncix not ship internationally? Can't find no email address to ask this and don't wanna pay international phone rates.

  • I cum when i get pulled on, just like a ssd :D

  • Hey Linus, I currently have a Silverstone Raven 01 but I am funding that the cooling is not that great and I want to get a better airflow case. What case would you recommend? OR any other guy here in the comments that is in the knowhow. I woudl really appreciate it.

  • "If you pull on it alot it'll come!" yep lol

  • i really dislike this camera...the colours of it look like shit Dx and there's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much motion blur. AND it's really grainey and it has really shitty auto focus....Linus...get a Cannon

  • @cedar234 iirc when camera man was around they were using a canon

  • Am i the only one who feels the fan controllers should always be on the front?

  • Coolermaster Silencio 550 is a also a great choice for quiet computing.

  • "Barely use my optical drive." ?!?!?! Linus is a pirate.

  • @yalolol who isn't a pirate?

  • Comment removed

  • @yalolol You don't have to use an optical drive to not be a pirate. You can download a whole bunch of stuff online paid or free.

  • @yalolol Steam..? Duh

  • @yalolol or he uses steam?

  • @yalolol did you saw his Microsoft office card unboxing? card boxing?...

  • @yalolol Well.... No... I think he uses steam.

  • @yalolol or he uses steam lol

  • @yalolol

    >optical media

    >2011

  • @carsonlstivers using '>' like that is gay and nerdy

  • @superwiicrazy

Watching unboxings of computer components is gay and nerdy

  • @carsonlstivers i know right

  • @yalolol i havent used my optical dirve in over a yr...

  • @yalolol idk i don't use Optical drives either. But i think ppl that burn movies would use it more often :P

  • @yalolol I barely use my Optical Drive only for fresh installs(External USB DVD Burner) and for games steam comes in handy for that ;)

  • @yalolol No he uses Steam and iTunes.

  • @yalolol oh no, that would be so terrible /sarcasm

  • @yalolol Or he uses services like Steam, iTunes, Spotify, Netflix....

  • @yalolol your so stupid, have you heard of steam

  • @yalolol Internet: Serious business.

  • @yalolol *cough* buttpirate *cough*, no ; Steam/Direct2Drive/etc.

  • @girass Rofl buttpirate.

  • @yalolol He could, you know, use Steam to buy all his games.

  • @yalolol Linus legally torrents his software after he pays full price :D

  • @yalolol It´s not the year 1999, alot of people are buying games through Steam.

  • @yalolol or maybe he uses all digital downloads

  • @yalolol Ever heard of Steam, D2D, or Origin?

  • LOL my p180 was the worst case I ever bought.

  • Quite a good case. I just wish Antec would lift their game on the fan controller. It always feels very cheap.

  • innovative.. for a company like antec.. but to no one else.. lol

  • i love this case... it seems much more comfortable than coolermaster.

  • which case would be quieter?

antec p280 or fractal design XL

  • @angelox6 fractal by a large margin.

  • okay buying this today, thanks linus

  • perfect case? almost. one thing they should have done on front instead of rear is that fan controller. all the rest is rly perfect case

btw why you didnt said that antec has finally made a case with the intake for psu at the bottom of it? :P

  • Some comments on the videography:

Lots of ghosting occurs on the movements. This is a big deal because it makes viewers feel dizzy. Increasing the shutter speed to 1/30 or faster would solve this. Hoping to see better in future videos.

  • Linus, what is your home computer?

  • If you are OCD about how your case looks like me you can always cover the cables that aren't black using black electrical tape. A single layer of tape over the exposed areas does wonders for the eyes.

  • This isn't a silent case unboxing. Screw you, false advertising!

  • nice

  • i want this case lol

  • After you take out the filter, how do you clean it fast easy and without damaging it?

  • @Trusteft You should probably either use your hand or a damp cloth similarly to how you would clean the dryer lint filter.

  • @Dusty594 I don't have a dryer lint filter.

    Thank you for your reply.

I guess placing the filter under the tap/running water is not the best idea.

Interesting how the only reply so far on this was from you (name).

  • @Trusteft compressed air. works siimple for me, cleans out the entire case in under 60 seconds lol

  • Not going to be bringing it to lans my ass. Its called get a cart!

  • YAY! No Iphone size comparrison!

  • looks like down grade i think... no separate compartment for psu and hd lol oh well

  • Nothing special about it, Antec has been lacking for years. Most of their cases on the market they have are 3-4 years old with very little improvements.

  • THAT WAS IT

  • looks like a small refrigerator

  • I hate cases with front panels.

  • Fits EATX?

  • @s0Ez3

    I don't think so: 06:38

  • @ SteveGaming The new cm storm trooper is a good one for only €150

  • 11:38 "If I pull on it enough it cums..."

  • The first thing I didn't think of when building my first PC was how important the case is... now I'm stuck with a budget non-branded midi case I want to get another one but big enough for the Noctua cpu cooler and at the same time I'd want practicality over looks of the case anyone got any suggestions?

  • @SteveGaming Check out the Antec 300, i only paid around $45, and it's a pretty decent case with enough room for my Corsair a70 cpu cooler.

  • Oh yeah, is less durable foam less durable? :O

  • i'm still using the p160

  • PULL ON IT ALOT AND IT CUMS? LUUUUUL

  • Can it make me a taco?

  • I personally think that he should build a pc with every case he unboxes :) because than you can see what it actually is like :D?? Am I right.

  • Cool, case I Love it!!!!

  • A fridge...

  • HAF X!

    FTW

  • Does anybody know how much this case costs?

  • 5:19 Huge like me! LOOOOL

  • Very nice... Dear Santa...

  • Very nice case!

  • Will there also be a pure black edition?

  • i like my fractal tyvm

  • Many smart solutions, but I don't like the look of the case, looks really basic.

  • No link to ncix for it? :'(

  • the door opens to the left? really? my grandfather's windows 3 computer case that had no fans had a door that opens to the right -____- true story!

  • You should review more mini-towers. Midi/fulltowers are unpractical and expensive..

  • @GrixM

Full towers expensive? yes they are because most of the time those have better airflow to cool down your expensive components

Unpractical? hell no, unless you got a pretty basic setup with no dedicated graphic card and only one hard drive.

  • @hujimix

I have a mini-tower with two harddrives and a GTX 560 and even an aftermarket CPU cooler. Works very well. It has sound-proofing foam, it's extemely small and light so it doesn't take much space and it's easy to carry. It has more than enough airflow and keeps my AMD 965 (overclocked to 4GHz) cooled below 50C all the time. All for half the price of the common humongous, bulky case.

  • @GrixM Can you fit a in your case a GTX570 with Direct CUII from ASUS? or something within that size/range?

Can you fit 2 gfx cards inside to make an sli?

Can you fit any water cooling system with twin 120mm radiator?

Lightweight? well, most of the guys who buy high end hardware don't buy it thinking they will have to move it around quite often. If someone had the need to move his/her high end PC they should look for a gaming Laptop instead.

  • @hujimix Yes, it can fit any card on the market really, with a maximum length of 33cm. It is also built for watercooling support.

But two graphic cards or enormous radiators? I doubt it. But one should buy only what one needs, and I can't ever see myself getting watercooling or several GPUs.

I value lightweightness and compactness very much, even though not everyone does. All I'm saying is that Linus should review mini-towers, for us that likes them.

  • I have recently bought a corsair 650D, I wish I waited for this case to come out!

  • @GTXAbunada really,the 650d is an awesome case
