My great grandmother was in the from the time she was 48 until she passed when she was 75. That was from the late 1800's to 1915. My grandfather, her son was also there for awhile. It bothers me to think that 2 generations of my family were living in a place like this.

Nice vid---I used to live a few blocks from there and used to sneak in at night or on the weekends(after it was closed down)It is too bad you never got any of the footage of the tunnels that connect all the buildings together. It was really creepy walking through there at night with a small flashlight. There were also dozens of rooms down there with big solid oak doors with steel frame re-inforcements that we could never open.I would have loved to see what was behind there.

Nice furnishings (some made out of botched lobotomy patients) and a4th-dimensional dance hall/bowling alley and superb shape-shifting nurses taking commands from Beelzebub.

On my first stay, I was sent to the dentist. He pulled out all my teeth with slip-joint pliers and gave me a dead, gutted sardine in a Type XII U-Boat replica ,after throwing two gallons of muriatic acid in my face. Then he let me wear a lab coat with snowshoes and a table lamp before strapping me to the autopsy table.

Very good video. I stumbled on it by accident. As for blackpOx I have no idea about paranoid schizophrenic ..I couldnt even begin to imagine. I am now intrested about it reading your reply. On one hand I was thinking what an strange place and on the other hand ..it means sanctuary to others. Ty again for video and reply.

i told my case manager about this video (i'm a paranoid schizophrenic and have been in hospitals.) ... he told me it's not like this anymore. and that down the street from the hospital i go to, is one just like this. where people lived there, there were gardens, and just like this place int he video; the place down the street from the current functional hospital, there is a graveyard. .... forgot what i was trying to say. i guess i miss hospitals like this. schizophrenics just want to live.
