  • The newer Agilent scopes do have serial decode, trigger, and search functions. And digital bus pattern triggering and decode is in the 6000. They also have added statistics, and I have been working closely with them to enhance the statistics capabilities. I currently use an Agilent 6000, 7000B, 2000X, and 3000X at work, so I know. That said, a Yokogawa scope is next on my list to acquire once I can justify a new purchase!

  • 6.5W STAND-BY POWER CONSUMPTION while switched OFF ;)) ROFL! SHAME ON YOU AGILENT!! SHAME!!!

  • Whats the price diff..... Yokogawa DL9040 is about USD 10,000. This is prob a Yokogawa vid.

  • no one from Agilent was present to counter your argument.

I don't think Yoko is so much better than agilent.

They have different pplication areas. some of the agilent functions are a downright nuisance.

  • At 1:20 you can see why an Audio CD can be played years later without sounding worse, even when there's noise in the logic waveform, it can be reconsitiuted to full fidelity to get the digital data right (not to mention Reed-Solomon correction for dust). With analog, imperfections in the recording media are played as part of the recording because there's no way to determine the exact value of a point on a wave.

  • @Amishman35: I bet those cristina aguilera's cds from early 2000 sound a lot worse with or without error correction techniques :P
